Actually, the item un-equip feature is built into Fusion, but is disabled by default. I may be wrong about this, but it could be re-enabled in the japanese only "hard" version of Fusion. :\
The next time some fucking shitbird tries to tell me that Super Metroid doesn't have a story I'm going to put them in a fucking chair and make them listen to the first two minutes of this video over and over again while hitting them with a frying pan.
Could you add the link to the Torizo skip trick in the video description? I don't want to lose the part of the video I've buffered so far and I think others would feel the same. You should change the annotation to refer to it as well. Thanks.
Pretty slick moves, brickroad. It's easy enough for an accomplished player to play the game this way at normal speed, but doing it this fast takes some keen reflexes.
Actually, escaping from the Torizo room in the North American version without fighting it IS technically possible, but it's something that only the Tool-Assisted speedrunners are really capable of. The timing has to be absolutely perfect, there's not a single frame that can be wasted, so the chances of actually pulling it off playing in real time are so astronomically low it might as well be considered impossible.
Wow, I'd heard about the mock ball before, but never seen it or really understood how to do it.
I'm happy to brag that I figured out the wall jump sequence break to Kraid's lair by myself. Of course, you did, like, 20 other things here that are way beyond me.
Actually... I've gotten into Kraid's room with the shinespark active, and he's just immune to it. :(
I was very disappointed.

This has been an educational video, by yours truly, Brickroad.

So are you playing this at 143% and commentating it all at once?

So are you playing this at the same time as you are commentating it?

"I'm happy to have blown your mind"
i almost pissed myself laughing at this
although i find this sort of LPing a little odd, compared to live commentary, it lets you know when to say what, so things even out

Man, right there at 8:26 you cut it super-close with 3 energy left.
As your motto encourages, you certainly like cutting it close. ;]
