People also complained about the title "Conquest Frontier Wars", saying it was too long. I believe its title is "Conquest", and "Frontier Wars" is its sub-title

You have to download a codec pack. I do believe it's called ACE Mega CodecS Pack 6.03. Google 'Conquest Frontier Wars Troubleshooting' and look for a result from Vistareadygames. You'll have to scroll down about half way to find it. There will be one response that says "Hi and welcome to VRG, after some digging on google I found a possible fix download and install this codec pack found here"

This game was like the best I ever played. Story related to starcraft? Hell no! The story was actually pretty good. And the game was a pleasure in multiplayer. I am so sad that sequel to this game was canned :(

Yes, this was a very good, sadly overlooked game. As for similarity to Starcraft, I think some people were fooled by superficial similarities (bug races etc) but the details are actually quite different.

The videos from this game are awesome but the game itself was dreadful. The story was almost a copy of starcraft and the level design was terrible to say the least. But the concept is a great idea, space naval warfare. They should try again only do a better job.
