I absolutely agree with you. It's amazing how two people can look at the same picture but see differently and give contrasting interpretation. I see nothing wrong with what she was wearing. She even has leggings under her dress. Sometimes what we see has also got to with where our attention is. Instead of focusing on the song, some are rather looking at her dressing which in any case is decent.

Whether you know this or not, men a "visual" creatures, we get hooked on something that grabs our attention fast. you can judge, just make sure your judging by the same measure that you think you should be judged yourself. by the way, showing your shoulders is not sin, but for females, showing more skin then usual can become a distraction, sadly. i wish she would wear a shirt, it looks like shes in the shade, so she would have been fine wearing a loose top. sooo yeah.

I absolutely agree with you. It's amazing how two people can look at the same picture but see differently and give contrasting interpretation. I see nothing wrong with what she was wearing. She even has leggings under her dress. Sometimes what we see has also got to with where our attention is. Instead of focusing on the song, some are rather looking at her dressing which in any case is decent.

@domdom4442 Perhaps what's going on here is the fact that she is showing some skin and causing some men to lust is what is being addressed. Whether you know this or not, men a "visual" creatures, we get hooked on something that grabs our attention fast. Most women don't understand this hence they wear what they want to wear and not understanding what that does to men. If she looks great or not, doesn't matter, it's how it affects men.

@07wurd Kari always does a better job than 99% of the females out there (especially "church-goers) on how they dress. She is taking care of herself and is always worried about NOT causing men to lust after her, thus being the target for sin in men's lives. And seeking true change does not come from going to church, it comes from the accepting the Lord and showing a True repentance. Church means a group of believers gathering to fellowship. It is not a building as many people think.

@musicexpression88 I really don't want to debate this with you, but I do know that in the Bible there is word about judging righteously, perhaps you should take a look at 1 Corinthians 2:15. As a spiritual person, I am commanded to judge all things, while the Lord alone is THE judge. As Christians we must constantly be on the look out for those who are astray, lest we be led astray.

@thevaliantcrusader Matthew 7:5 says something about judging as well. I don't know why you feel the need lay judgement someone you don't know personally. Do you know her? Do you know her thoughts, fears, struggles, goals? Do you know where she is in her relationship with God?
You also forgot the last part of 1 Cor.2:15, "but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:" From my eyes, you are judging her and you are "man" as well.

My gosh...get real people! If anyone has ever fallen to temptation of the flesh, it is I, but God is faithful and so good. He has delivered me and continues to deliver me daily from sexual sin. In no way, would I consider Kari's dress inappropriate. I had to go back and see what the fuss was about. It is incredulous that someone would consider that immodesty. I though her dress was extremely tasteful and conservative. I was worshipping in song jus t as she was.

Vivimos en Tejas con temperaturas de 105 grados y mas altas, no puede salir a cantar vestida como si estubieramos en invierno, se deshidrataria. @rebeccadhixson Quite frankly, the Bible encourages us to JUDGE, we're just suppose to judge righteously. There's such a huge difference. And many of us need to open up our Bible's and set our standard by what it says, and not our own opinion. Jesus said to be in the world but not of the world. So why do we set our standard by what the world thinks is okay? Am I condemning Kari? Absolutely not! I love her songs. But this dress does NOT agree with the standard Jesus preaches in the bible.

I turn back to Kari and this song when I need to feel the presence of God again because there is something prophetic about this music inthe economic and political times we are living in, I am trying to play her kind of Christian music and I am getting asked to play with some strong Christian groups these days. Anyone who has a problem with the way she is dressed is a moron. She has style and class and there is NOTHING wrong with that dress at all. or the jeans underneath.
