  • 1 minute ... 5 day fever.

  • That water is cold as hell!!! but it was fun!!

  • yeah i been here :D its like paradise

  • is it warm or cold?

  • well considering that the water in the lake comes from a glacier, Id say its kinda cold. I don't know for sure though.

  • @ieden5432 the coolest thing you've ever imagine dude haha

  • @rrobey2206 paradise is not a place.

  • Copper sulfite is blue, so thats the connection WinH was trying to make, but actually, the blue doesnt come from copper.

It is a phenomenon that comes from rocks being ground down in the glacial streams, It turns into something called "rock flour" which makes the water a bit silty, then it absorbs all colors in the spectrum and reflects only the startling blue green you see here.

  • copper sulphate is also toxic so i doubt the colour comes from any source of copper...there would be no wildlife. but ya the rock flour thing is right

  • it's all the copper from the glaciers.

  • copper... blue... am i missing somthing here

  • Chem 101: Copper, when in aqueous solution, has a very blue appearance. Just do a image google search "copper in solution" and see for yourself!

  • Weren;t you frozen? I swam in that lake and I was numb :P

  • no, it's summmertime. The water is blue because of the ice coming down from the mointains getting into water

  • was this in the winter?
