I don't believe you've ever told me to shut up. I'm not sure if that is sarcasm or not...or booze talking...I'm buzzed myself, so I'm a little confused as to what you meant. I completely agree with getting a competent leader into office that won't screw around, start wars (unless necessary--that means not for oil or catchphrases like "democracy"), pander to lobbyists, pass terrible legislation, etc.

he used the sick kids to mock our dear president g dubya bush as an example of a smear ad that the bush administration would use similar to all the other smear campaigns that bush has had Karl Rove conduct. the purpose of this is to show who Bush is hurting by vetoing the bill and to criticize the president for vetoing the bill. also, it is very clear that Maher is in favor of helping the sick kids and is lambasting bush for refusing to give them government aid.
