I grew up watching this guy. Even when he was a heel I always loved hearing his music come on. I'm talking back in the days of the Pump Handle Slam that he used to do, when he had long hair. When I heard that he died, in all seriousness, I cried. He was one of the few wrestlers that I connected with so much. i feel like everytime a wrestler dies i lose a part of my childhood because these are the guys who were around when i watched wrestling at it's peak in the 90's , and test was apart of the beginning of my favorite storyline the mcmahon hemsly regene. I hated the rock for leaving the wwe for acting but he did the best thing while he's still young because there is really no longevity in wrestling. hulk hogan admitted to even being close to suicide and did the wwe even call him after for support?
Its chilling to hear this from test. Its sad because we all loved watching guys like test, Eddie, RW Hawk and more every week. But with all of them dead, I think the wrestling business is not the same. Even guys like Cena, Orton, Styles and Joe cant save the business. I much as i hate to say this but after all the deaths and sucides in the past to good wrestlers. Wrestling will be dead soon. And every current wrestler will find a new career somewhere.
I really enjoyed watching his character progress in 1999. When he was stuck in the tag team with A-Train (Albert) in 2000 I cringed. WWE did not use this talent properly. It must have been due to politics backstage because there is no excuse as to why he never became WWE champion. This is definitely categorized as a wrestling tragedy. He will be missed.

I always felt that with Test that after the storyline with stephenie when he lost his girlfriend to triple h (even thought it was a stroyline) that his was the wrestler that always was known to get screwed over by women who broke his heart. It just seem that situations like that with is chracter he could not over come. I always wanted him to triumph to become World Champ after he had to overcome the odds even if for little while.

Test actually was pushed numerous times. The only thing that held him back was his lack of charisma an poor crowd reactions. He had a high profile angle with HHH and Steph, he won a 20 man battle royal after Invasion to keep his job, he got Kiebler as a valet, he worked Steiner in his WWE debut, and he had a months worth of promos before debuting on ECW. Vince loves big guys and wanted Test to succeed but it never happened.
His crowd reactions was alright. It's just he didn't connect with the larger scale of the audience. He didn't express himself enough for people to truly care.
I liked him. I thought he was a big brute with a killer look and some nice looking power moves. Wicked big boot too.
He became a bit generic looking once he cut his hair though and went to short pants. Lance Storm has a funny story about that in his commentary on Test's death actually.

Test was a mid card wrestler because of the way he was used. He had so much more talent than Cena. His death was a big shame. When i was younger i used to remember him and shane o'mac teaming up, back wwe was wwf, when wrestling was good. R.I.P Andrew.

i think that the increase in deaths in wrestling is that to meet the higher demands for entertainment from promoters to be the best company they are only hiring the best wrestlers which involves other wrestlers pushing their limits to be hired. personally i dont think that is acceptable because a wrestler is judged on his abilities in ring and on mic not y the way they look eg, the ultimate warrior he had big muscles but his in ring abilites sucked and hid promos sucked proven fact...

@sharktrinity I believe they said that it was a accidental overdose of oxycodone. If I remember correctly they also said that he had a Alzheimer's-like form of brain damage. Similar if not identical to the type that Chris Benoit had.

i feel like everytime a wrestler dies i lose a part of my childhood because these are the guys who were around when i watched wrestling at it's peak in the 90's , and test was apart of the beginning of my favorite storyline the mcmahon hemsly regene. I hated the rock for leaving the wwe for acting but he did the best thing while he's still young because there is really no longevity in wrestling. hulk hogan admitted to even being close to suicide and did the wwe even call him after for support?

Its chilling to hear this from test. Its sad because we all loved watching guys like test, Eddie, RW Hawk and more every week. But with all of them dead, I think the wrestling business is not the same. Even guys like Cena, Orton, Styles and Joe cant save the business. I much as i hate to say this but after all the deaths and sucides in the past to good wrestlers. Wrestling will be dead soon. And every current wrestler will find a new career somewhere.

I really enjoyed watching his character progress in 1999. When he was stuck in the tag team with A-Train (Albert) in 2000 I cringed. WWE did not use this talent properly. It must have been due to politics backstage because there is no excuse as to why he never became WWE champion. This is definitely categorized as a wrestling tragedy. He will be missed.

I always felt that with Test that after the storyline with stephenie when he lost his girlfriend to triple h (even thought it was a stroyline) that his was the wrestler that always was known to get screwed over by women who broke his heart. It just seem that situations like that with is chracter he could not over come. I always wanted him to triumph to become World Champ after he had to overcome the odds even if for little while.

Test actually was pushed numerous times. The only thing that held him back was his lack of charisma an poor crowd reactions. He had a high profile angle with HHH and Steph, he won a 20 man battle royal after Invasion to keep his job, he got Kiebler as a valet, he worked Steiner in his WWE debut, and he had a months worth of promos before debuting on ECW. Vince loves big guys and wanted Test to succeed but it never happened.

His crowd reactions was alright. It's just he didn't connect with the larger scale of the audience. He didn't express himself enough for people to truly care.
I liked him. I thought he was a big brute with a killer look and some nice looking power moves. Wicked big boot too.
He became a bit generic looking once he cut his hair though and went to short pants. Lance Storm has a funny story about that in his commentary on Test's death actually.

Sadly, I just found out about Test's death tonight, it's very sad...I remember watching him in the good old days of wrestling...well the 2nd coming of the good old days of wrestling...this interview a year and a half before his death is like foreshadowing and very chilling....RIP Andrew, you had the talent.
Let this be a lesson to the young, get off the drugs while you still can. Doesn't matter if it's roids, painkillers, coke or weed...abuse is abuse and it only leads to 1 place.

They stopped developing wrestlers in like 2005, and that was Batista. He sucks

Yeah and that was Edge and I can't remember the other one it was either Triple H or Randy Orton. They never let anyone else win the "big" titles until the other leave, and John Cena and the others probably won't leave for another 10 years at least, so we'll basically be seeing the same matches over and over again for about 10 years, repeatedly Triple H vs Randy Orton, Randy Orton vs John Cena, John Cena vs Edge, Edge vs Batista, Triple H vs John Cena, it'll always be the same matches...
