Don't you notice that Olivia and Natalia had a History of going after Men who were Emotionally Unavailable. For Olivia it was Richard, Josh, Alan, Phillip, Jeffrey and of course wanting Gus. Natalia was just as bad. She turned down a chance at happiness with another Man because she couldn't get her precious Nicky out of her system and wasted 16 Years of her life doing so. Yet she ended up with Olivia so she got her happy ending

She just gave up a lucrative job to bail N out of a HUGE business mistake which was not O's fault, even is she does feel part. responsible. She is not putting N down, simply advising her to be careful, and N is wise to listen to that. Frank is a cop, not a money man. He is giving her bad fin. advice - this has always been the dynamic. That is why in the end, N is with O and not F.
I am just explaining why Frank does not trust Olivia. I completely understand the dynamics of O and N. I know that O loves N. But there is no denying that O has done misdeeds in the past. It is what makes her an interesting character.
yes she has - she has done some bad things for sure - often she does so for complex reasons, sometimes she was just a bit of a jerk. One sad thing about the way this story has played out is that Olivia has undergone an authentic transformation - not just "promising to change" but actually changing. N witnesses this up close - and falls in love. Its pretty awesome. The next closest witness is Frank. He does not see as much, but also willfully ignores, denies, forgets it. I would have...
liked it better if Frank had undergone his own transformation - it did totally suck that he was left at the alter - you could say he was a casualty of homophobia - collateral damage. If GL found a way for him to really understand what happened and the effect it had on N and O -how they both really were sorry it hurt him, that would have been a really cool story line. Instead he just makes a lot of assumptions, including that Olivia is still a bit selfish and insensitive. Missed opportunity.

But one thing always captures my attention about it. With Olivia, Natalia is so totally unaware and unaffected by the weather, but with Frank, she notices the cold immediately... planned or unplanned.... hmmmmm...

the thing i noticed about these two is that they both give what they have. Nat gives her time and her physical presence and just being there for Liv. And Olivia gives money and her passion and her all for Natalia - they both give all that they have for the other. Giving money when Rafe was on the run though it could heve jepoordized her relationship with Ava and Jeffrey. Giving up the fight for her job in exchange for Natalia's money and ultimately sacrificing her love for Natalia so Natalia has a chanceto live a life that will make her happy.
Olivia was really "whipped" in October when she asked Natalia to work for her at The Beacon as her Assistant. It was the scene when Natalia was on the Ladder, for me that was the true "moment".
I think she was "whipped" in August, I think 8/25 or 8/26, when they were on the picnic table outside of the house & Gazebo. When Olivia was looking at Natalia, it was so intense and she was already trying to fix everything in Nat's life at that point.

therealluna... I agree that the money seems off in relation to what she got for the cottage and then used for a down payment for the farmhouse. However, I don't think we see Natalia working any of her other jobs (Company, Towers, Farley's) after this episode, so I think it's not that she needs 1200 to cover the mortgage, but 1200 will let her make mortgage payment, home expenses, etc., and still put money toward Rafe without having to keep the extra jobs. Just my opinion.
The hotel bedroom scene has to be the cutest scene with these two that I've seen yet. They are both so thrilled at the idea of living together - has Olivia ever looked happier, in her whole tortured ten-year history on this show? Someone is finally choosing to be with her, without her needing to seduce or manipulate them into it...such a refreshing change of pace for this character.
8:12 I love how they decided to focus on Olivia's face while Nat was talking. Look at how happy she is. What a contrast from earlier when she was sad about losing her job. And the smiles Nat keep throwing at Olivia, 8:04 and 8:37, how could you say no to that?

LOL Nat always asks Liv to not make fun of her and I always think it's SO cute. They have this like understanding if Liv takes it too far Nat says "Don't make fun of me" and Liv automatically stops...Too cute...The christening of Henry scene and another cute one...

I jusr realized that this is the first meaningful moment when Olivia put Natalia's happiness and interests in front of her own... Not only did she get the 80k back even if it cost her her job, she also talked about feeling guilty over Gus's death not for her own sake, but because she took him away from Natalia.
And I'm in love with the way they look SO happy at the end of the clip!

they always had the greatest banter.JL was always good with the quick retorts in the very beginning, that's what made them so much fun to watch at the start, when they were always bickering...Go back to may/august/nov clips, u'll see.

the thing i noticed about these two is that they both give what they have. Nat gives her time and her physical presence and just being there for Liv. And Olivia gives money and her passion and her all for Natalia - they both give all that they have for the other. I love how nomatter how much Frank tries to put Olivia down Natalia defends her and really doesn't pay much attention to his advice

Not to mention that she gave Liv her dead husband's heart (the same husband who liv was chasing and died cause he was trying to help her)...and also convinced gus to 'pretend' to love Liv so she would fight to stay alive, even if she knew liv would do all to keep gus with her..n then did all to keep liv alive post-surgery when she was hell bent on dying and dissing nat at every second. Dimples should get a statue in her name, lol!! They've both given their all to each other!

Giving money when Rafe was on the run though it could heve jepoordized her relationship with Ava and Jeffrey. Giving up the fight for her job in exchange for Natalia's money and ultimately sacrificing her love for Natalia so Natalia has a chanceto live a life that will make her happy.

Olivia was really "whipped" in October when she asked Natalia to work for her at The Beacon as her Assistant. It was the scene when Natalia was on the Ladder, for me that was the true "moment".

I think she was "whipped" in August, I think 8/25 or 8/26, when they were on the picnic table outside of the house & Gazebo. When Olivia was looking at Natalia, it was so intense and she was already trying to fix everything in Nat's life at that point.

haha, i think it was way earlier, on the 26 of may, LOL, when she decided to sell gus' house back to nat for like pennies..just cause she wanted...and they shared this lovely gooey moment...also sitting on a bed, haha these two!!! search for: 05/26/08 Connections Part 5 ...around 3:22-3:29...they share this look...jeebus...it's like, they couldn't help like each other, even back then! :)

she is i know and i have wanted her and alex cabot to get together for the longest time and I swear that when alex got shot and left the show when olivia and elliot saw her they had a connection going.....but then in that one episode when she goes back she has to tell olivia about the boyfriend she has and that they're sleeping together.........hopefully the writers get it right.........Natalia and Olivia are great together......they complement each other so well

Actually Mariska has gone to numerous gay pride festivals and is very supportive. If you hear anything contrary you will see that it is someone else talking ABOUT her not her speaking of herself. She is also a regular presenter for the GLAAD awards. Not something someone would do if they are anti-gay. But! Back on topic, Otalia Rocks!!!

therealluna... I agree that the money seems off in relation to what she got for the cottage and then used for a down payment for the farmhouse. However, I don't think we see Natalia working any of her other jobs (Company, Towers, Farley's) after this episode, so I think it's not that she needs 1200 to cover the mortgage, but 1200 will let her make mortgage payment, home expenses, etc., and still put money toward Rafe without having to keep the extra jobs. Just my opinion.

The hotel bedroom scene has to be the cutest scene with these two that I've seen yet. They are both so thrilled at the idea of living together - has Olivia ever looked happier, in her whole tortured ten-year history on this show? Someone is finally choosing to be with her, without her needing to seduce or manipulate them into it...such a refreshing change of pace for this character.

8:12 I love how they decided to focus on Olivia's face while Nat was talking. Look at how happy she is. What a contrast from earlier when she was sad about losing her job. And the smiles Nat keep throwing at Olivia, 8:04 and 8:37, how could you say no to that?
