@HOLDENPOLLARD um the bass drum actually is edited... it's ran through a noise gate and an EQ, then amplified. That's why the bass drum sounds so solid at high speed and not "muddy" like it normally would at those speeds (and in a garage) lol.

I dont quite understand why people keep thinking that triggers make you play double bass faster.. cuz they dont.. triggers are used to amplify sound not speed it up.. it is used for recordings and sometimes live so everything can be heard better.. rather than people struggling to hear what they are playing..

Put triggers on your bass then. You'll find it 50 times easier to play that fast. Sounds like it too, you normally have a 'loud' and 'soft' alternating beat if you play that fast heel/toe because one stroke is naturally softer than the other.

when you tap using triggers your rhythm gets fucked, you HAVE to play normal otherwise you notice a HUGE difference in the rhythm and timing. Triggers, maybe, but there are pedals out there that can go that fast and maintain consistent power, all about knowing how to use them.
