I need help!!!!! Ok i gotta problem i need advice someone!!! When i get the wave when bodyboarding i ride thr lip as done so in the video but once the white water catches up to me an breaks on both sides how do i get turned around so i can paddle out? I get caught up in it and go to shallow water then have to paddle out which is a pain amd i cannot walk with fins!! Help man please!
@Metallicaforever95 i can help you cuz im experienced. but whats your problem? you cant get through the back of the wave when its closing out? if you have a leash then you can alwayse ditch your board. otherwise just turn up and over the wave and push yourself through the wall of water
@manitsmatt Dude, if it was 8 feet it would almost be 2x as tall as a person, that surfer was taller than the wave he was on and he was bending his knees. Avg. person is usually around 5'8-5'10 dude, so minus the foot from crouching the guy had the height correct.
Awww man i havent been to bellows in a couple years and i had a lot of fun there spongin over there and its 3-5 feet from the back. 6-10 feet face :D and that is fun size
one time i leaned to far forward catching a big wave with a shorter board i ended up hitting the nose of the board in the sand, it hit me in the stomach and bent in half
i saw some kid trying to go over a wave with a boogie board instaed he did a backflip and stopped himself by doing a face plant in the sand but he wasnt hurt so i laughed ... but i would have laughed anyway
I have to wonder if any of these boneheads understand English... Read the title assmonkeys, it says, Simple trick - colon - colon in this case doesn't mean the tube connecting to your okole, it means something will follow that will explain the first part... "Catching waves" is the trick. It's not farking trick - it's the title. Keywords in the title bring the visitors from search. Jesus... and yeah, I let the nose dip too deep and went ass over elbows - LOL!
how does this have 20000 views? you didnt do any tricks, learn to reverse and not look like a kook. that surfer wasnt even a grommet and was better at surfing that u were at bodyboarding LOL.
im kinda a grom and ive faced a tad smaller sets than those and until ive learnt how to stall and turn properly and get good projection, i always ended up pearling over. then i learnt
a) you need great fins (caudal) cos they help with take off and stalling
b) fast stringered board
c) choose the right wave with enough push starting from the shoulder
all pretty much learnt on my own. with the help of some vids
now i get enough speed off 2fters. question is how to hit a pitching lip to get air
@hdtvcamera1 yeah, exactly - the bottom is reef free so attempting bigger waves isn't difficult here. It was a good day there - not seen it that big at bellowsexcept a couple of times.
I don't wear flipper when i go into the sea but when I do I go into the sea bachwards...which i think is right but i find i hard to get out to the sea out of the shallow becuase i tend to fall over....any tips
@KnockoutMagic Hah, same. Backwards is the right idea though. Fins can generally be annoying to get out but as long as you time it right, it should only take a few goes.

some hawaiins measure the wave from the backside rather than the face...a 3-4 ft hawaiin wave would be 6-7 foot really
