IMO Music should touch your emotions in a way that words alone never can. Great music touches you, takes you to the highest of highs, and can pull you down to lows you fear to ever go. Pink Floyd have been the masters of this since the 60's as few others can. Jimmi, Morrison, Janis. Many more. I just am not touched emotionally by any recent band,except Dixi Chicks "The long way around". Perhaps my age, or whatever, but when you hear a song, ask if it touches your emotions.
