It's pretty basic, the game designers realised that the Xbox 360 and PS3 markets were doing brilliantly and so they made this s*** so that more Xbox 360 and PS3 versions would be sold. To game designers it's all about making revenue and maximising profits any way they can.

Personally I think game designers are now devoid of morals and just want money.
