This is awesome! I was Barry the Chopper / #66. I didn't get to go to AD2007 :( (stupid place I call a job). I'm with Vash on the being called otaku. In modern Japanese slang, an otaku refers to an overtly obsessive fan of any one particular theme, topic, or hobby. Ever since AD2006, I have been addicted to cosplay and anime in general ever since. Meeting all the people that share the same interest is a great feeling.

That is not an appropriate comment. The real (Asian) definition of an otaku is a very degrading one. The anime phenomenon is a exchange of culture between Japan and the rest of the world. I think it's sad that you have a problem with Americans actively learning and enjoying Japanese culture. It's people with your close-minded point of view that hinders the further exchange of cultures around the world. You may not have thought of it as a big deal, but it is.
