Mate, you can jailbreak it, but it will be tethered, meaning if you turn it off, or it runs out of battery, then you'll have to jailbreak it again when you turn it on :( - I have the MC model myself, wait for newer tools to come out i'd recommend :)

Yeah - its pretty easy: Just downgrade to 3.1.2 and run blackra1n.

EVERYONE. This only works for 8gb ipod touches because the 8gb ipods are both 2nd gen and 3rd gen. if u have anything that is 32gb or 64gb...it wont work.

You can jailbreak it even tough it has MC on second gen Down grade to 3.1.2 and download blackra1n and redsn0w 0.9.2 use red snow first then use black rain

Yes you need to watch the videos on how to downgrade it. Since you have the 8GB you can downgreade.
