Great stuff! 2:16 is that an infamous & deadly '79 Ford Pinto on clearance? (*fender bender would blow up the gas tank behind the bumper)? Wow, I don't remember any of these commercials, I do remember the "10 Community Bulletin Board" image though.
WCAU was one of four CBS O&O's to have RCA TK-27 film chains from the mid-1960's into the '80's (the others being KNXT/KCBS-TV Los Angeles; KMOX-TV St. Louis; and WBBM-TV Chicago), proving that while the CBS network had an aversion to using RCA equipment, this attitude did not trickle to their owned stations (although since WCBS-TV New York's studios were in the same building as CBS network operations, that station's color film and slide presentation came from General Electric PE-240's).
(CONT'D) In addition, for many years starting 1966, WCAU's live color studio cameras were the infamous RCA TK-42's (while KNXT, WBBM and KMOX went with Marconi Mark VII's; and WCBS, being housed under the same roof as the network, used Norelco PC-70's). However, it appears that by the late 1970's WCAU was using a different color studio camera.
The music heard over the "Community Bulletin Boards" was "My Mood" by MFSB - which also was used over the end credits for many years on WRC-TV's (Washington, DC) "NewsCenter4" on Fridays.

Sounds like Alan Belvis (The Enterprise Rent-a-Car announcer) at the V/O on that WCAU 1210 (Now The Big Talker 1210 WPHT) commercial.

Somerton Springs in Feasterville was razed in the summer of 2009 to make room for a townhouse community.
Out of the six stores listed as places you could buy Nu Vinyl, only one is still around today - Rite Aid.

Most of the voiceovers for WCAU promos were done by Gene Crane.
At 3:28, the phone number listed would be 610-278-3667 today.
