Fuck... I could not play this game for 5 years since its release because I am not American and in those times I did not even have the Internet connection... I am fucking MAD AT WHOLE WORLD for not being able to play best of WoW... Vanilla, TBC.. Blizzard's delighted wise conciousness... They were making game for fans, tried hard, advanced, applied hardship to unite the community... Now they make game for whiners and noobs... :( life is not fare... who knew it will be such a big deal for me...
Befor, i would let this song play once while looking at my first and main charecter thinking"this will be another great day". After i logoff, I let it play again while looking at my charecter" wow, what another great day". Those days can never be replaced or can they be brought back. To be fair, the only reason the game was truly hard back then was because you needed to organise 40 people at once, gear wasn't as well itemized and people didn't have over four years of experience.

PreTBC is the best. Google Feenix Private Server and revive the old dungeons and raids :) Unfortunately we've been a victim of a heavy DDos attack which is still ongoing. :/
best intro ever . the game really was cool, it was balanced and freaking hard... you wanted a good gear - you had to work alot for it. horde didnt need paladins(although goblins and belfs were a good idea). game didnt need gems and gliphs, their just one more reason to spend gold on.
that is correct. I expect Emerald Dream to be in the expansion, and we will level to 100 in the end. If people from pre-tbc still play then, it's a miracle

Ahhh good ol wow classic... Leveling that first character was magic. Ubrs raids... I was furious for never getting the shadowcraft chest/head. Man, those were the times.

@grumpyjester Wrong. Vanilla WoW was way better, way more challenging. Each area had tons of group quests and each individual quest was a challenge. The items you had to find didn't glitter and jump at you from miles away, you had to find the damn things. Levelling up felt rewarding because it was difficult and the areas were more atmospheric and immersive than in the expansions.
Expansions dumbed the game down so more people could play, and that's why they lost my subscription 2 years ago.
WoW will never be the way it was, something about the expansive green vistas and valleys of vanilla were just so perfect they didn't need any additions, but then blizz sold its soul for profit. And so falls another giant in the world of dreams for rent.
The Burning Crusade was amazing, good for casuals but with a lot of hard core stuff still. Now all can easily reach 9-10 bosses in the last instance in hard mode... get away the hard mode shit, just pure instances please. Fucking euros machione :/

There is easier stuff so that casual players can still enjoy the storylines, if you want a challenge, go join a icc25hc guild, that is if you even have the skill to get into one inbetween all the crying about how easy wow is now.

there is just no challenge to wow anymore,it used to be fun and challenging and not just about the dam LOOT! pre-bc was fun and full of mystery and excitement. BC brought some new things to the table changed things and ruined alot,a VERY SELECT FEW things i liked a little more then vanilla,but the fault were too many so it was ruined.wotlk tried to repair what they fucked up but only made amends with a few things,still many problems are still there,and i bet cata will be the worse then wotlk.

well i could give you my opinion, back in classic i raided like crazy. wanted the best gear and all that. i was completely hooked to the game and once i got myself out of it i wanted it to be more casual friendly. now we've got it and it's just not the same. the purple loot for instance. didnt drop in some silly 5 man "heroic", you needed 39 other guys to help you scramble for 1 piece after 4 hours of raiding. wich i admit was alot but afterwords it felt extremly rewarding, that is all gone now.
@Izaroth The longer you wait to get something, the less rewarding it feels when you finally get it. Overcoming a challenge is the most rewarding experience, the harder the challenge, the more the reward. I think Blizzard listened to these quotes quite well, now they are forgotten...
@Izaroth the color shouldn't matter, it should be the reward itself, the quality of the item not the color. Vanity items are more worth striving for in my opinion than anything else, ESPECIALLY achievements. I think the game has a lot of that spark it had initially for those hardcore raiders, such as you and myself that raided BWD for several hours to POSSIBLY down one boss and then POSSIBLY get your piece of gear. I still enjoy the game thoroughly, i think the mass of players are what killed it
@cyberplumber10 Oh absolutely, a blue geared player could put up quite a fight, then again blue wasn't completely useless back then.
and yes the mass of player certainly had an effect, the most negative imo was MIRC and cross faction communication, today i guess it would be the ebayers and server hoppers.
Crossrealm pvp also had a negative effect on faction/server unity.
I've had a break since i hit 85 in cata release and considering a return, would you recommend it?
@Izaroth Well here's my view on it, 4.2 is going to incorporate a lot of nice well viewed changes, very good for the game and it isn't ruining it at all. With 4.2 I would suggest coming back, but i can't say if you'll like it that much. The raiding is forsure going to be epic and thats what i enjoy about the game, i grind through the things that i dislike...grudgingly lol, and then i have a blast raidingg.

@negoitagabi Yes I actually do liked flying to the instances. There was almost none world PVP and now with this new system there is none. I would flash my past raiding-experience in the application and get accepted. Besides, resillience can be fixed with healers. I want the 12 hours of AV back, I want the endless lvl 60 gear vs gear back, the skills, not the free tier 9 wh***s that run around now claiming they have skills because they can press macro's and certain buttons on fights.
@Paybays They are removing half of the stats, and they are most likely going to make it harder, where the hell do you expect to go and buy epics in Cata? they arn't making any new neutral cities, I have hope.
Cataclysm isn't SUPPOSED to rescue WoW, they started aiming the game at casuals, children, older people, and everyone else mid-WotLK, this is so they can get more people to buy Cataclysm, because Cataclysm is the last money sink they're adding.
Blizzard is launching a new MMO soon, they want to try and get all the remaining money possible from WoW before they launch it, that's why they cut corners and costs on Cataclysm whenever they can, they didn't even make a cinematic for it for god's sake.
@Soundfrequency dude they have said that they would keep making new content for atleast 5 more years and they get more players to the game all the time and when they announced WotLK the cinematic trailer wasent done it was released about a year after the announcement. so it would most likely come soon.
Well you have a point on resilience, but they are changing what it does. Free epics are pretty much the same as getting rares , but it is stupid because some weapons and armor should be rares. Overpowered classes have always existed.

Oh yeah most of the end game content wasn't there at first so there were no 20 mans and only 2 40 mans and world bosses were non-existant. Raids that dropped epics such as ZG,BWL,
AQ20/40, and Naxx weren't implemented until later so epics were even more rare.

best thing to do would be to cut out bc wotlk , and cancel the release of catacylism, there is seriously no fun in the game anymore, the only profits they will be making is that everyone is going to buy the new release... people will give up .. then what.. i remember back in pre-tbc i would buy a game card all the time .. now i have a 6 months break in between each time it runs out.. thats how depressing the game has gotten.. this is srsly bad.
Did you even raid pre-bc? Gear was even harder back then. People used to do 10/15 mans just to get blues and later on the only 20 man until AQ, ZG, still dropped blues. You'd be lucky to get in a guild good at 40 mans and there wasn't a badge system in case your items didn't drop. The only pvp epics required true dedication to get to the final ranks in order to buy the gear. Gold also wasn't easy especially since quests didn't always change at the max level so you'd get gold instead of xp.
Untoldrealms - right now it is still in development, but it will be the only serious retail-like pretbc server around.
1.12.1, will be 100% scripted, old difficult will be brought back, possibly even 10man scholo/strat. It has developers with will and skills. Worth to keep an eye on if you want to experience the old pretbc once again. I myself have played retail 3 years and this is the only promising private server I've yet seen. Mature players needed! Join to revive the old world pvper inside!

1. TBC (lvl 60-70)
2. WOTLK (lvl 70-80)
3. C (lvl 80-85)
If they'res 3 more then I"m guessing for each one, the level span will increase by 5.

there is just no challenge to wow anymore,it used to be fun and challenging and not just about the dam LOOT! pre-bc was fun and full of mystery and excitement. BC brought some new things to the table changed things and ruined alot,a VERY SELECT FEW things i liked a little more then vanilla,but the fault were too many so it was ruined.wotlk tried to repair what they fucked up but only made amends with a few things,still many problems are still there,and i bet cata will be the worse then wotlk.

the game is ruined, i agree. Nothing to do to it to make it better. Maibe just another game almost exact the same story as the pre tbc... no death knight, no shaman on alliance, no flying mounts, they could keep the achievements part and jewelcrafting skill... make the world alot bigger and improve the graphics... but I don`t think they will

guys wotlk isn't the problem it's the players that are the problem, players that are 40 year old virgins with no life who play to get gear and be the best that ruined wow. i played wow because it was a differrent experiance than real life and was entertaining but now the gaming industry is going terrably bad now all players want to be is the best. hardcore gamers prove nothing but the fact they are no lifers what happened to casural wow which was about the lore n stuff?

well i could give you my opinion, back in classic i raided like crazy. wanted the best gear and all that. i was completely hooked to the game and once i got myself out of it i wanted it to be more casual friendly. now we've got it and it's just not the same. the purple loot for instance. didnt drop in some silly 5 man "heroic", you needed 39 other guys to help you scramble for 1 piece after 4 hours of raiding. wich i admit was alot but afterwords it felt extremly rewarding, that is all gone now.

@Izaroth The longer you wait to get something, the less rewarding it feels when you finally get it. Overcoming a challenge is the most rewarding experience, the harder the challenge, the more the reward. I think Blizzard listened to these quotes quite well, now they are forgotten...

@Izaroth the color shouldn't matter, it should be the reward itself, the quality of the item not the color. Vanity items are more worth striving for in my opinion than anything else, ESPECIALLY achievements. I think the game has a lot of that spark it had initially for those hardcore raiders, such as you and myself that raided BWD for several hours to POSSIBLY down one boss and then POSSIBLY get your piece of gear. I still enjoy the game thoroughly, i think the mass of players are what killed it

@cyberplumber10 Oh absolutely, a blue geared player could put up quite a fight, then again blue wasn't completely useless back then.
and yes the mass of player certainly had an effect, the most negative imo was MIRC and cross faction communication, today i guess it would be the ebayers and server hoppers.
Crossrealm pvp also had a negative effect on faction/server unity.
I've had a break since i hit 85 in cata release and considering a return, would you recommend it?

@Izaroth Well here's my view on it, 4.2 is going to incorporate a lot of nice well viewed changes, very good for the game and it isn't ruining it at all. With 4.2 I would suggest coming back, but i can't say if you'll like it that much. The raiding is forsure going to be epic and thats what i enjoy about the game, i grind through the things that i dislike...grudgingly lol, and then i have a blast raidingg.

@negoitagabi Yes I actually do liked flying to the instances. There was almost none world PVP and now with this new system there is none. I would flash my past raiding-experience in the application and get accepted. Besides, resillience can be fixed with healers. I want the 12 hours of AV back, I want the endless lvl 60 gear vs gear back, the skills, not the free tier 9 wh***s that run around now claiming they have skills because they can press macro's and certain buttons on fights.

Cataclysm isn't SUPPOSED to rescue WoW, they started aiming the game at casuals, children, older people, and everyone else mid-WotLK, this is so they can get more people to buy Cataclysm, because Cataclysm is the last money sink they're adding.
Blizzard is launching a new MMO soon, they want to try and get all the remaining money possible from WoW before they launch it, that's why they cut corners and costs on Cataclysm whenever they can, they didn't even make a cinematic for it for god's sake.

Well you have a point on resilience, but they are changing what it does. Free epics are pretty much the same as getting rares , but it is stupid because some weapons and armor should be rares. Overpowered classes have always existed.

Oh yeah most of the end game content wasn't there at first so there were no 20 mans and only 2 40 mans and world bosses were non-existant. Raids that dropped epics such as ZG,BWL,
AQ20/40, and Naxx weren't implemented until later so epics were even more rare.

i agree.. wow is unbelievably easy now, u dont have to brew poisons , u ge mounts at lvl 20 , 99% cheaper.. epics grow on trees... no world elites anymore.. killing mobs has gotten much easier.. someone solo'd kharazan at lvl 80, a druid.. im appalled by what this game has turned into .. and with wow catacylism .. i never want to play again .. the old times were the best, when pre-TBC was out, u actually had to work for things, and it was always so much fun.. fuck you blizzard.. fuckin pussies

best thing to do would be to cut out bc wotlk , and cancel the release of catacylism, there is seriously no fun in the game anymore, the only profits they will be making is that everyone is going to buy the new release... people will give up .. then what.. i remember back in pre-tbc i would buy a game card all the time .. now i have a 6 months break in between each time it runs out.. thats how depressing the game has gotten.. this is srsly bad.

Did you even raid pre-bc? Gear was even harder back then. People used to do 10/15 mans just to get blues and later on the only 20 man until AQ, ZG, still dropped blues. You'd be lucky to get in a guild good at 40 mans and there wasn't a badge system in case your items didn't drop. The only pvp epics required true dedication to get to the final ranks in order to buy the gear. Gold also wasn't easy especially since quests didn't always change at the max level so you'd get gold instead of xp.

Untoldrealms - right now it is still in development, but it will be the only serious retail-like pretbc server around.
1.12.1, will be 100% scripted, old difficult will be brought back, possibly even 10man scholo/strat. It has developers with will and skills. Worth to keep an eye on if you want to experience the old pretbc once again. I myself have played retail 3 years and this is the only promising private server I've yet seen. Mature players needed! Join to revive the old world pvper inside!
