Hate is hate, but you can only handle so much of it, like everything else. My entire life I had to deal with kids in my schools every single day of my life. They insulted me, called me names, spread rumors about me, i never knew people could be this mean at the time. I had came really close to commuting suicide because of these people. Because of them, they made me for who i am. i cant emotionally handle speaking face to face, without having this constant fear flow inside of me and make me close
Everything you said is absolutely true, and is relevent in everday life as well as on the internet. When someone says horrible things to you and you get upset you have just done exactly what they wanted you to do. When someone insults me i just smile at them. They see that their plan to annoy me was unsuccessful and they leave me alone. If you take everything hurtful said to you to heart you won't get anywhere in life. You have to be able to just discard it all and get on with things.

I deal with hate, by simply, ignoring the person, and just telling them,

The hate that I deal with mainly is inward. But for when it comes from other people I don't even seem to notice or if I do I don't acknowledge it. The dirty looks or the little comments keep coming but it hardly registers for me. I'm really glad a video like this was made it deals with an issue that needs to be discussed. I have been blogging since early 2007. When I first started out I wasn't ready for the hate that was coming my way. I honestly couldn't deal with all that I was receiving. What can I say? I was 13. I deleted the account because I couldn't deal with it. I kept trying, trying. And eventually ended up with 2 deleted accounts. But over these 3 years that have passed I've changed dramatically. It's the internet. It doesn't effect my life outside of it. And this time I'm back for good, with your help.

Your video is clearly heart felt and done with the best intentions, and much of what you say is generally supportive ... but youtube, and the voice it allows what still is a tiny minority of the worlds population, is still in it's infancy. As the point you raised from Pinter's play makes clear, we have yet to learn how to speak to each other in person. It's not surprising that we find it even more difficult to truly listen to each other when when it's on a screen ... how ever articulate

Im saddened mostly by the fact that you feel it necessary to even make this point. and make a video about it.
if you have experienced events that cause some1 to conclude this action is necessary makes me loose even more faith in humanity. I never understand when you complain about the hate you receive, and have even mentioned the death threat you get. I just cant empathise with any1 who writes hate towards you, you are probably the most inspiring and heart filled 'vloger' out there....

Your video is very inspiring , I dealt with hate and problems myself , only they were in person and not over the internet . I let things slide and went home to be upset about it , when in actuality I got to see that those who were acting this way toward me were miserable with their own lives and just needed to take it out on someone . I've been around numerous suicidal people , and I make sure to help everyone through it . Your videos are great . You're very intelligent & devilishly handsome (;

I deal with hate, by simply, ignoring the person, and just telling them,
For example, the classic,
"You've just wasted 4 minutes of my life that I'll never get back"
I reply:
"Well. I'm glad to be a part of it!"
It's funny because if JUST 4 minutes is that important to them, then they must be doing nothing before they die, because I can think of 80 things more fun than hating on videos.

Myles you are my inspiration and hero. You are the reason I started making videos on Youtube. And I have never regretted making them even though people tease me at school sometimes. It has also helped me have confidence and a am a celebrity in my school. Because of this video the little bit of hate I have got on my videos doesn't affect me when normally I would become really upset. I still to work on not replying to people who do give me hate but I am getting there.

I really think you have come a long way in life, this shows in videos. Even though you have gone through many rough times I think you are probably the most inspiring person on youtube. When I saw your video "you are not alone" I realised I was not the only person going through a hard time like that, if I hadn't of seen that video i think I would probably be dead right now :( . The hate that I deal with mainly is inward. But for when it comes from other people I don't even seem to notice or if I do I don't acknowledge it. The dirty looks or the little comments keep coming but it hardly registers for me. I'm really glad a video like this was made it deals with an issue that needs to be discussed. Each person has to deal with hate and a video like this could help someone better deal with it.

I've never experienced the type of "hate" you're referring to in this video, but you've made me think about another experience i've had when you were talking about that play, and who holds the power. Someone I know use to ignore me randomly for months and I'd try so hard to speak to them because of course i was upset and didn't understand what the hell was going on...and you're video has kinda made me see that by doing so I was giving them a power that they didn't deserve...so thanks :)

I will admit, i used to do hating quite alot on the internet at a young age and thought it was rather funny. Looking back at it now its pathetic and immature. These people who "hate" should really realise what they are doing to people such as yourself who expose themselfs over the internet which in my opinion is very brave and takes alot of courage. I recently went through a rash of mean comments that were left on a video of mine. Without getting mad, I responded with kindness, and it actually yielded quite a bit of positive in an indirect way. That's what I've always said... Hate and love aren't opposites but people are stuck on the thought that they are. Truly when someone hates you they really just care enough about you to let you know they have negative feelings about you. The worst thing in life is when no one cares. I'd like to add on and say embrace that hate even if it's the only thing you have because that just means they care ^_^

I have been blogging since early 2007. When I first started out I wasn't ready for the hate that was coming my way. I honestly couldn't deal with all that I was receiving. What can I say? I was 13. I deleted the account because I couldn't deal with it. I kept trying, trying. And eventually ended up with 2 deleted accounts. But over these 3 years that have passed I've changed dramatically. It's the internet. It doesn't effect my life outside of it. And this time I'm back for good, with your help.

I've been getting a lot of hate recently..hate for being different, things as petty as choosing to dye my hair start nasty comments and sniggers. And to be honest, i've been feeling quite down about it, i'm normally very social, always out with friends and i'm quite a 'loud' charecter, but recently hate has made me quiet and subdued.
