can someone help me, ive been playing pokemon pearl for around 2 hours 36 minutes trying to get a shiny shinx, but i had no luck. also the little app that you get for the shines wont show up on my DSi, why? I use repels when i see a shiny shinx once ONLY and i just hope i find 40 because the 41st one one probably be a shiny. so can anyone help me and tell me why im not getting one?

@SydneyFan101 :: You MUST use super repels or max repels ALL the time and chain up to 40 Shinx, making sure you're stepping into the same looking patch of grass as well as it being the patch of grass that is the farthest away from you. If the fourth patch of grass is not the same as the first one you went in, then reset your PokeRadar and activate it again so you can continue on. Once the 40th Shinx comes your way in the chain, all you gotta do is keep resetting ur PokeRadar til you see a shiny.

magnet pull is an ability from magnemite-magnezone it makes sure steel types can't escape and ups the rate of steel types appearing by 150%. The same with static u fight electric types more often. So while pokeradaring ull see ele and steel more if u have those abilitites. And the pkm with that ability has to be in front of the party 4 it to work.

I used the pokeradar to get a shinx too and a metagross. steel and electric types are easy to chain because u can use magnet pull and static to keep a chain going

it's an abilty rumored ot help attract pokemon to the appearance in the pokeradar not sure if it's true but supposibly if you have a static pokemon first in your party he'll attract electri pokemon and magnet pull pokemon will attract steel types.

Have you tried the matsuda method or more recently the RNG thing?? also 4 boxes and later 6 boxes are nothing, people bred over thousands of eggs just to get a shiny, well at least that was in the past!

=/ If you are doing it just to get 1 or 2 shinx i recommend you to stop chaining at 40 and then just reset and reset the pokèradar until the shiny patch appears, it doesn't matter how much it takes don't lose pacience it will eventually appear trust me!, you can keep doing this in chain 41 also and so on ^^

When you reach the chain number 40 stop chaining just keep resetting and resetting your radar till the shiny patch appears, dont get desperated sooner or later it will appear for sure, also if you want to keep catching shinies in that chain, you can continue resetting in the next chain and it'll appear normally it takes you about 20 max repels for the shiny to appear in my experience ^^ good luck!
