Vipers are the biggest piece of garbage. My next door neighbor had one he hated it, he said the transition felt like they took it out of a John Deer, couldn't handle for shit, he dumped it and got the new 911 Turbo and he loves it.
@four15z I love the Viper and would love to have one, but I've also heard some nasty things about the transmission on it. From what the guy said it was okay when he would race it, but he just couldn't cruise in it. But then again, maybe he didn't know how to drive it right...
@olvanish I bought a 97 gts 2 weeks ago, they are a piece of cake to drive easy around town. Shifts are a bit longer than I'm used to (07 mustang GT was previous car) but its mainly the looong stock shifter knob lol. The 1st to 4th shifting req'mt goes away if you hit like 2-2500 rpm too. I got 26mpg at 70mph from Denver CO to Wichita KS. I checked tires when I got home, they were very low, coulda got better mileage!

@olvanish tires were at 22-25psi out of 51psi (max) - I'm running on 40psi now. The rpm in 6th gear @70mph is under 1500 rpm! I'm guessing the ride was too stiff at higher pressure, thats why the guy lowered it...but I don't want an odd wear pattern...it's not the most refined vehicle by any means, but it's totally worth it when you see the corvette owners rubber-necking :)

Very wrong. When the engine is mid-mounted like in the diablo the car has a much better balance. Having the engine situated closer to the drive-wheels also saves the need for a driveshaft and saves weight. All you need to do is drive a front engined car, then drive a mid-engined car and you will tell the difference.

Mass production many sales, and then sets a new lap time. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Eh kind of. More like the mass produced viper has beaten out a once (like only one was produced), made European super car. You know? It's pretty impressive for a mass produced vehicle that had set a record of that magnitude and then people all over the world can buy one. Where as for the European super car there are only a handful of people who own one, because they are so darn expensive.
But I'd get the DB9S haha shit's sick! I like the c63 AMG more than any of the other Mercedes.

@dzava uh...90k euro is about 110k USD....you have it backwards. It takes MORE than $1 to equal one euro. Thus it takes more USD to make 90,000 euro. In other words it takes (when i was in europe) 1.5 USD to 1 euro. So every price in euro is multiplied by 1.5 to get USD. The rate is more like 1.2 -1.3 range now though.

the ACR is an awesome track car, but a great supercar has to excel in the real world i.e. U can have a car car that excels on the track, or a car the excels on the road, but in my opinion no car manufacturer combines style, performance, prestige, quality, heritage and the sheer thrill of experience like Lamborghini. Thats the formula that makes a modern supercar and its a formula that only an elite few have perfected.

Very wrong. When the engine is mid-mounted like in the diablo the car has a much better balance. Having the engine situated closer to the drive-wheels also saves the need for a driveshaft and saves weight. All you need to do is drive a front engined car, then drive a mid-engined car and you will tell the difference.
