the place is totaly derelict and it is pretty much a free for all, only thing is a lot of people hang around there at night but its defo worth going for a look its really cool
awesome video! i was there last night, it beautiful. I must say, i have never been so scared in my life...going at 11pm was not the best of ideas. Glasgow graffiti artist "Smug" has done loads of work in there, some really amazing stuff! Really worth checking out!
Mat 7:13 Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leads to destruction, and many are there who will go in by it:
Mat 7:14 Because narrow [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leads to life, and few there are that find it.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Mat 24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does not do them is like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
good vid, sad place. Can't buy into 'modern movement classic'. As an architect I saw too often young architects mistaking sculptural/kinaesthetic ego statements as good design- when the client wanted a working building. Everywhere - huge spaces impossible to heat and certain to feel colder, acres of flat roof certain to leak; vast areas of single glazing to chill still further - in cold wet scotland??! I hear it leaked like a sieve from new, so a collapsed roof was only to be expected.
A collapsed Roof. ! That was because some Ned Stole the rutty copper covering your Moron. There was a few teething issue but there always is in a cutting edge building. If it wasnt for buildings like this in our history then your Modern Day Trash would be far worse.
Hi MsBlue. You Have a better camera than mine, so I hope you dont mind if I use a bit of your footage in one of my next videos.. it will be relavant.. :-)
Sadly the seminary was set on fire on Saturday night. The fire brigade were unable to gain access because of a fallen tree and the fire was left to burn all night.
I spoke to Mr Crilley from the Church the other day regarding this building and was saddened to here that Urban Splash has plans to Demolish the Servants Convent Block. I was rather dissapointed to here this news as me and my wife had put forward to save that building. Which would keep the grounds and the building as a Church Asset. It Sounds like he is just after the money. :-(
It is a great place to visit. There's also an old castle in the woods up there - if you ever go again it's worth taking a look, it's a beautiful walk up to it :-)
Ow and the part at 4:16 - 4:29 fading in and out was cool. But in acurated. ou should have been at the far end looking back for the correct view. I think the lowered seating area is now full of water. ! I would also have liked to see much more from the inside of the female nunery section, as most people seem to leave it out.
Excellent. Thanks for posting. So much for all the big plans from the burocrats. It amazess me how the system that is suposed to protect these buildings are actualy just sitting back and letting them fall to bits. Hell if they would sell it to me for the £1 they were suposed to be willing to sell it for, Id spend my life re-building it. Ps. you were not alone in the building, as ya can see gostly figure walk bye at the other side.

If this is true, then something is defently fishy going on. I offered to save the building, and now within days of my interest it catches fire. !!
hmm Very Suspect. That needs investigating
