@damileslol I heard that's because the game wasn't made by the original creators, Legend Entertainment didn't have the rights to all the races. Because of this, the game either never mentions the dropped races or made excuses for them not being there.
I personally like Star Control 3 alot, maybe because I played it as a kid. The voice acting isn't really that bad, and the story doesn't suck. I like listening to the backgrounds of each race, etc.

The Ilwrath and Thraddash destroyed each other in Sc2. Although, I'd think there would be at least a couple hundred of each race left. It would make a cool plot point for a *real* sequel if they ever make one, which is doubtful.
Oh yeah, and I love how the precursor at the end explains the Lk's origins. He basically says "We accidently forgot to put the mushrooms back into the fridge and they rotted and turned into sentient beings."

They don't look like the Ilwrath, don't have ships like the Ilwrath Avenger and don't act like the Ilwrath.
They vaguely sound like the Ilwrath, but thats about it.
If anything their more like unfriendly Melnorme, there to give some history and stuff like that. Although they really don't resemble any SC2 race that much.
Their actually a decent enough creation far as SC3 goes. But thats not saying that much.
I like their voice, and I think the expressions on their faces are cool, but I don't get their physiology. Is their hood like a mushroom cap? And if so, when they slither, do they lie on their faces?
