  • Lets get this song to a milion views, who is with me?

  • 0:05 = '60's douchebag.

  • Great Group! Great Sound! But someone should have told that lead singer not to dance like an idiot. Still like them.

  • Aussie Aussie Aussie!

  • Old bastards like this..

  • I loved this music. Great sounds on a old transistor radio. I love to listen to it now on great quality speakers. I still blast this music from my IPhone.

  • great soloist singer! great 60's spirit! Where it now?

  • Rest In Peace Shane Cross

  • Sounds like early punk music .

  • groupe sixties peu connu mais excellent ,the best ,grand succés ce titre ,very gooddddddd !!!!

  • me encanta la este tema,,,,muy bueno

  • mes 15 ans!!! giga!

  • 1:03

how amazing is that simple drum fil?

music was definitely more amazing back then, when it was simple..

  • That lead singer is cheesin' it. Hahahahah

  • TGIF WORLD!!!!!!! BE SAFE HAVE FUN Make it a Great New Year! Sherry

  • Harry Vanda and George Young were in the synthpop band Flash And The Band in the late 70's and early 80's

  • @stingray4real Flash and the Pan.

  • The singer is hot.

  • I came here because of 'Pirate Radio' Movie

  • @lksarith Same, I have been looking up loads of the songs on the soundtrack, but we call it The Boat That Rocked.

  • @lksarith I came here because of Dianna Agron ;)

  • same..

  • For some reason i always start to laugh at 0:05

  • R.I.P Shane Cross

  • What's with these marketing questions at the beginning of videos? Fuck off

  • is George young the older brother off Angus and Malcolm young? cause am taking a guess here cause they are all from Scotland and emigrated to Australia

  • Haven't heard this in a while. It brings back memories of the Shane Cross days.

  • Stevie Wright (lead vocals) and Snowy Fleet (drums) were from England, George Young (Lead guitar) was from Scotland, and from The Netherlands (Holland) were Harry Vanda (Rhythm guitar) and Dick Diamonde (Bass Guitar).

  • @MrJayBBluejay But all their parents had emigrated to Australia, and that is how they all become the Easybeats...

  • Wow, clear sign of where SOAD 'may' have got a lot of their ideas...

  • 52 people whatched friday by rebecca black and are still suffering

  • Cute!

  • i love this nutcase :)

  • Aussie Boys

  • ...needs more view

  • The 3 boys are Immigreted from Holland to Australia.

Harry van der ?? is a Dutch name. And also Dick Diamond!

  • ahh 60s australian music, when they're all born overseas

  • @schpoogie

They are born in the Netherlands. In wich place I don't know!

  • @00kippen Harry Vanda is from the Netherlands. The youngs were originally from Scotland. I also have to second what an earlier poster said, the Youngs are a badass family of musicians.

  • I remember seeing the Easybeats live in concert......I hate getting old........

  • George is the one beside the drummer Gordon (Snowy) Fleet. The blonde guitarist is Harry Vander and the bassist is Dick Diamond. I know cos Snowy and I are mates as we spent time in hospital together courtesy of a bloody (literally) angle grinder!!!!!

  • next to drummer is George Young

  • deserves more views

  • this should have twice the amount of views :)

  • @Annntonnni I agree. It is, without a doubt, the greatest Australian song ever.

  • haha lead singer looks so excited : D

  • I decided to google my highschool and I found out that George Young was a former student!? my school is slightly cooler now haha. Glad I just finished highschool, Friday was always on my mind

  • This song was my ANTHEM. It is a very up song and done pretty well live. My fraternity (Theta Chi) liked this song, Gloria and Double Shot (of my baby's love) the best. Gary

  • Man Stevie is soooo doped out in this video (just check his face first 10 seconds he starts singing xD)

  • @lunasco23 I have done a lot of research on Stevie and the people that should know have swore that at this point he was not using any kind of drugs. That came much later.

  • 2 bad he became a heroin addict

  • 60's were absolutely amazing. believe me, loved growing up in that time

  • Poor man working for the rich man, hey ille change that scene one day.

    GREAT.

  • looks like spock from star trek at 0:41 and 0:45 in the background

  • he looks so happy and uplifted, chemicals can do wonders! nevertheless this is great great song

  • @TheRaptorCr if u were born in the 60's you would have like 5 years on 1966, you should say 50's.

  • Ref the "Indian guy" .....I'm pretty sure he is Welsh! I think I was taught by him when I started broadcasting, although its a few years ago now!!!

He looks to be a camera assistant /technician in the shot... adjusting height and angle of the camera tripod. There would have been around 4/5 guys on each camera.

  • I know the drummer from The Easybeats snowy fleet, I got his signature aswell :D

  • KANON

    Tobbe

  • why are they pulling away the crowd at 1:22? strange

  • @EnjoyTheSurface for the video coverage i would say.

  • @EnjoyTheSurface To get the shot with the camera!

  • The guitarist on the leftnext to the drummer, is George Young, big brother of Angus and Malcom. he has also produced several AC DC albums.

  • The 60's were musically phenomenal. So much variety, melody, sounds, lyrics, backing, musicians I could go on for ever. The crap now - least said.

  • My husband and I adore this video! The easybeats are supercool too me. We Love dancing to this song!

  • @theraptorcr im 11 but im the one in the whole that know that music was made 2000 (good music)

  • @TOMMAXMIKEYANDTHEBOY English please.

  • Inrcedible,How incedibally wrong you can be.The lead guitarist in the band is Angus and Malcolm Youngs brother.Get your facts straight before you comment,OK!

  • Little Stevie is just waaayyy too cute for his own good. I simply CANNOT watch him and not smile :D I've said it once, in fact I've said it many times, and I'll say it 'til the cows come home..the Easybeats are the best rock band EVERRRRR :) ciao

  • i like....

  • I hate Monday mornings!.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • @TheRaptorCr they are sooo cute , I am born 1953 .... and looking back ....

  • this is horrible

  • the indian guy is hitting a calc or sumthing

  • Angus Young's Older Brothers Band Priceless

  • does anybody think the drummer looks like a doll dummy?

  • incredible. the singer is the brother of the acdc guitarists. what a badass family

  • @rockthepiano4ever The singer is stevie wright, george is the guitarist (on lead).

  • @rockthepiano4ever no? the rythemic guitarist is the brother

  • @rockthepiano4ever Not the singer. George Young is the guitar next to the drums. The blond on the guitar in right is Harry Vanda. Both George Young and Harry Vanda were producers (and even played) in some of AC/DC's early records. Truly a badass family.

  • @rockthepiano4ever All the brothers are in music actually. One of the brodhers is a music producer that produced most of (if not all) of AC/DCs albums I believe.

  • @rockthepiano4ever no not the singer. the guitarist of the easybeats was their older brother ;)

  • @rockthepiano4ever incorrect. the GUITARIST is is the brother of the AC/DC guitarist. his name is George Young brother of Angus and Malcolm. the singer of this is Stevie Wright. if your going to post something at least know your facts firs

  • i bet he fills bad for his brother death

  • @SuperPreston18 And in English that is?

  • Damn, I hate being 14, music today blows.

  • @qawszxdcer Talk about the good music that we had back then. Show people how awesome the old music is. Eventually, more people will be interested in that kind of music and not the crap thats on the raido now. The record companies may even stop signing contracts with these fake musicians and go back to recruiting talented musicians.

  • troggs

  • I love the singers energy, performance, and head movements/facial expressions. great song, great performance.

  • @sabianqaz I sooo agree!! He just keeps smiling, enjoying the song. Very exciting!

  • I'm so screwed by being born in 1990. Fuck.

  • which of the guitarists is George Young?

  • @o0NicolaiP0o The rhythm guitarist (he's the short brunette)

  • i spoke with Stevie a few years ago . I could never imagine that this was the same guy. Hang in there man .

  • @TheRaptorCr Actually mid 40's would be better if you wanted to enjoy the 60's scene in a meaningful way but trouble is that would make you nearly 70 now. I was born in the late 50's so at least heard the sounds without appreciating them in my kiddy way at the time.

  • cool tune and cheeky performance! and a Maton Supreme 777!

  • i enjoyed this number immensely in the 60's and truly enjoy hearing it now as it reminds me of what was a very important and vital part of my life.

  • My spanish teacher sung this in class, kinda ruins it when I listen to it D: Still good though hah.

  • What a cute dancer he is!!

  • i like the indian guy at 0:59, looks kinder odd in that shot

  • a song about friday that is actually good.

  • This song is the best therapy for when you listen to another certain song with friday in the title.

  • so good, makes me happy and alive

  • Oh yes, and Australian Rock is a close second with great bands like The Easybeats and The Church.

  • Now, I now where Iron Maiden got its inspiration for the base intros to a lot of their songs. Anyway, bloody hell. British Rock is the best!

  • @Lunatic4Bizcas The Easybeats are aussies

  • lol he looks so cheeky

  • @MegaCokamo ... I was born in 52. Yep ... you missed a good thing. Music isn't made like this anymore.

  • it's friday, friday, fridaaaaaaaay

  • @TheRaptorCr born in 88, but I've got the same wish:)

  • @TheRaptorCr you mean born in the mid 40's because if you were born in the 60's you still would have been too young to listen to this great music!.

  • i got the high quality version of this song on my channel

  • this is a billion times better than any shitty beatles song.

  • hahah the fab 5... not so famous :P

  • @TheRaptorCr Wow, I read that sentiment a lot on youtube. I was born in 1960. Just look at it this way. If you were born sooner......... YOU'D BE MUCH OLDER!!

  • @Helivz wishes i had a time machine then :P

  • @SMEAGZY Hey, there are times.... believe it or not, I wonder how different my life would be like, if I were born ten or twelve years sooner. I was a kid in the 1960s; a teen in the 1970s. I am glad I was not born any later however. Be blessed and happy!

  • no realises how out of place the Indian guy is at @00:56

  • @frankiestrummer hey we had to work the equipment! :D

  • Comment removed

  • what are you talking about fool- just enjoy the clip- ffs!

  • most would know this song from Bowie...long before him

  • most would know this song from Bowie

  • Wow! It's really live! And good too!

  • @TheRaptorCr i was always thinking same thing... but common, you can just have rock n roll in your heart, don't need to be living in '60 to Rock your life away!! :)) just let's keep this AWESOME music loved and alive!!

  • he's family of AC/DC

  • One of Australia's best exports

  • @Australian123Gamer And I guess they're the only band that counts as an "Australian Invasion" band.

  • @FetaCheese222

And The Seekers and BeeGees ;)

  • I wonder if Randy would say it's a little pitchy?? ;)

  • @GuilhermeMarchi He would, but it's a great song, not easy to perform.

  • wow those dudes look dancing impaired, just shuffle a bit

  • lol. That's cool. Greetings from a fellow music lover.

  • RIP shane cross

  • Most people don't realize that the lead singer, George Young, is Angus Young's older brother (of AC/DC fame).

  • @VortigernPendragon hey bro, the lead singer is not Angus' brother, George is playing guitar on the left side of the screen. I think the singer's name was steve wright.

  • @ledboots2009 You're right. Vocalist is Steve Wright, George Young (on left side) is Angus brother and along the other guitar player, Harry Wanda, have a massive international succes in the 80's with a cpmmercial por band called Flash and the Pan.

Cheers from Spain of an old fart.

  • @h34th3n God Bless ya. From a fellow music lover in the U.S.A.

  • @ledboots2009 Ah, ok. I wasn't 100% positive, I just knew that Angus Young's brother, George was in the group. I never followed these guys that closely and was given some incorrect information. Thanks for clearing that up. At least I started some interesting conversation. You know, now that I look at him, he looks a lot like Mike Nesmith of the Monkees to me (George Young that is).

  • the original friday song

  • The APRA ranked this the number one Australian song of all time. sad to say but they defiantly got it wrong

  • its funny cause this song is so true

  • awesome

  • i wish i were there to bad i was born in 94

  • @MegaCokamo It all depends on YOU!

  • even my old man looks good?

  • I always loved this song! even though the guitar sounded a little out of tune THIS IS CLASSIC!!

  • @divgtrslingr Classic, yes! with live music you get a little flat guitar and a little off tune singing but what the hell.

  • ...............and didn't we INDEED!

  • Heard Miami Horror were going to cover this classic, on the Snickers Sessions. Pretty sweet project.

  • Awkward dancing was in a all-time high.

  • Lol, I knew something about rebecca black was gonna pollute the comment section here, and the first thing i see is a top comment by someone confused about who she is. Damn trolls xD

  • Stevie Wright was very cute !!!!!!!!

  • @paisleycarol He sure ain't cute no more.

  • ads.......

  • @NikkiRosita :-) Lead singer Stevie Wright and drummer Gordon Henry "Snowy" Fleet were from England; rhythm guitarist George Young was from Scotland; lead guitarist Harry Vanda and bassist Dick Diamonde were Dutch. And between years 1966 and 1969 they lived and recorded their recordings in London :-) Think you didn´t understand smooth irony and fun. cheers
