Overhand punches are a good way to get knocked out. The person throwing the overhand will be the one getting knocked out. Overhand punches means no skills. No arsenal.

hey thank you guy, i was wondering why my elbow strikes were so much better than my hooks,, actually i was doing this movement for my elbow strikes only, and did my hooks more "horizontally" now i feel much more confortable with this style, not only for the power but also in order to throw many hooks in a row, thanks again ;)

but yes, i see a difference: i was teached to let the weight on the side the punch comes from, to have better support and give more strenght to the punch itself, and to mantain better the balance in case the punch is dodged. what about this?

on this much u dont really lose ur balance much if ur aponent dodges becauze ur going from the top and u dont take it so wide

Igor Vovchanchyn punches like that too. Now I know where the unique punch is coming from. But whether it's guys like Mighty Mo or Mike Tyson, it's usually those kinds of punches that lands for some reason. I guess it's hard to see them.
