I started loosing my hair when i was 17. It FUCKING SUCKED. I never got laid, pretty boys kicked my ass, and my life was hell.. i had no confidence. Im 20 going on 21 now, and im playing drums in 3 technical metal bands, perusing an acting career, and training boxing jui-jitsu and working out hard every day. My point is bald guys have character, because you have to work SO much harder to get noticed than pretty boys.

Never had a problem t-bagging hot babes and no problem getting dates. All comes down to how you view yourself and self esteem. I could care less about hair. Don't need it.

If it makes you feel any better, I find that the "Mother's Father" gene theory for balding isn't really the determining factor. I've got a lot of male salon clients who have hair but have a brother who is balding or vice versa. It seems to me that whether or not you get the balding gene is just determined the old fashion way like all the other genes you inherit from mom and dad.

Theres actually really good products that help stop hair from falling and even help with re-growth. I'm not bald at all but I did notice my hair thinning out a bit, so I totally went into panic haha! Then I was introduced to Bosley which is a company that does hair transplant i think. Anyway they started making this Shampoo/conditioner/treatment foam. My hair is thicker, it stopped falling and I don't know if theres re-growth but I'll keep ya'll posted! I really recommend it! $50-

@bradboy101 They're scary because they seem to be the most beyond control of a man. If one is short they can still look good, if they have bad teeth it can be cleaned and maintained and if needed there is dental surgery, same with bad skin.
And there is a difference between balding hair, and shaved hair. Many balding guys just shave it off.
I've been cursed with pale, almost translucent hair. I'm not Albinic, but I'm pretty close. I got a really bad sun burn on the top of my head cause my hair is so light the sun went right through it, and I think I destroyed some hair falicals. Anyway. @KennyBumbleBee No!!! Don't dye your facial hair or hair on your head. I looked at the video you uplaoded and you just have very blond hair! Doesn't look bad at all. It makes you unique and once your head gets a base tan, you won't have anything to worry about.

Let's remember that men, women, and even annoying paparazzi consider Jason Statham, Jude Law, and Vince Vaughn to be among the sexiest men in the world. I actually get complimented on my looks MORE now that I receded a little on the sides because now I have a sexy Jude Law hairline. If I lose more I'm shaving my head permanently-accept it! My mam's dad was bald and so is my uncle on that side but my dad and my uncle on his side are not. I've exactly the same type of hair as my dad and barbers often say in an aside I won't go bald so I have my fingers crossed but you never know.
If I do end up having to shave the head though I'd probably get my ears pinned back, I use longer hair to hide how much they stick out ;)

@Cerulean0987 I'm 36 and my hair is almost 50% white. Over the years I've dyed it, bleached it, and just had fun with it. It's just hair. So I suggest you give it a try and if you get sick of the routine, just grow it out again. I'm olive skinned so the white hair gives me a unique look as long as its kept neat. If you work with what you have, the right cut and complexion will give you a look no bottle of dye ever will.

But if someone has poor self image and dwells on it obsessively, then it's unhealthy and should they should make attempts at trying to accept themselves. BTW I have olive skin too. Some people are more prone to this, but it can be treated at least to some degree. Some cases much more so than others, depending upon the pattern diagnosis. I sell Nioxin in my salon. If you catch it in time, as in if you have a full head of hair and you are noticing a little more hair in the drain, the results are promising. I can say that I've used it and all of my hair grew hair back. No luck on people who have been balding for a while though.
@willbscene360 Would any one system from Nioxin work better than the others? I looked at the website and noticed that there were 2 types of systems, one for thin-looking and the other for noticeably thinning. Then it breaks down to the weight and chemical treatment. I'm not in need of it yet-but I don't want to get it wrong when it comes exam time!
@James29621 There are actually 8 systems. 1-4 are for finer hair types, 5-8 are for course hair types. 1,2,5,6 are for non chemically treated hair. 3,4,7,8 are for chemically treated hair. 2,4,6,8 are for noticably thinning hair (as in seeing bald spots. Its a 3 step system with shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment and all 3 are equally important. I know its confusing. Just go to a salon that sells if and have them walk you through it.
@James29621 also, if you do end up needing it, make sure you get it at a salon. Its a professional brand so they don't sell to Costco, Target, Folica.com etc. That stuff if either old or counterfeit and you only get the guarantee at a salon.

Some guys look good with no hair, I have a better good hair shape. Not to say I wouldn't like to keep my hair, but It wouldn't be the end of my life. I see many men that look better with no hair.
@czargwar It's actually completely opposite. When you don't wash your hair for long periods of time, the oils and dirt build up on your scalp, clog your follicles, and choke your hair. This causes your hair to become VERY thin and brittle. If you're worried about using heavy chemicals on your hair, I suggest using vitamin, mineral, and natural oil shampoos. VitaminShampoo and Organix are two of my favorite brands and have yet to let me down. I've used it for years and I have long, thick hair.

Losing hair isn't all that bad. Tell those guys that freak out and shave all their heads that not all guys can carry it off. The VanDyke with the shaved head (the stone cold Steve Austin look) only looks good on a small minority. The fringe kept closely shorn looks cool.

I've been cursed with pale, almost translucent hair. I'm not Albinic, but I'm pretty close. I got a really bad sun burn on the top of my head cause my hair is so light the sun went right through it, and I think I destroyed some hair falicals. Anyway. Haha. Funny video. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who has lost a lot of my hair at a young age. I used to have incredibly thick hair when i was in Middle School and I remember when the lady would cut my hair, she would thin it out a bit so it was easier for her to cut.

My mam's dad was bald and so is my uncle on that side but my dad and my uncle on his side are not. I've exactly the same type of hair as my dad and barbers often say in an aside I won't go bald so I have my fingers crossed but you never know.
If I do end up having to shave the head though I'd probably get my ears pinned back, I use longer hair to hide how much they stick out ;)

@Cerulean0987 I'm 36 and my hair is almost 50% white. Over the years I've dyed it, bleached it, and just had fun with it. It's just hair. So I suggest you give it a try and if you get sick of the routine, just grow it out again. I'm olive skinned so the white hair gives me a unique look as long as its kept neat. If you work with what you have, the right cut and complexion will give you a look no bottle of dye ever will.

I sell Nioxin in my salon. If you catch it in time, as in if you have a full head of hair and you are noticing a little more hair in the drain, the results are promising. I can say that I've used it and all of my hair grew hair back. No luck on people who have been balding for a while though.

I looked at the website and noticed that there were 2 types of systems, one for thin-looking and the other for noticeably thinning. Then it breaks down to the weight and chemical treatment. @James29621 There are actually 8 systems. 1-4 are for finer hair types, 5-8 are for course hair types. 1,2,5,6 are for non chemically treated hair. 3,4,7,8 are for chemically treated hair. 2,4,6,8 are for noticably thinning hair (as in seeing bald spots. Its a 3 step system with shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment and all 3 are equally important. I know its confusing. Just go to a salon that sells if and have them walk you through it.

Ulta, Trade Secret, Pure Beauty, Beauty First, Beauty Express, Master Cuts, Regis, Regal etc are more retail oriented salons and they are really competitive with prices too, I would check them out. @czargwar It's actually completely opposite. When you don't wash your hair for long periods of time, the oils and dirt build up on your scalp, clog your follicles, and choke your hair. This causes your hair to become VERY thin and brittle. If you're worried about using heavy chemicals on your hair, I suggest using vitamin, mineral, and natural oil shampoos. VitaminShampoo and Organix are two of my favorite brands and have yet to let me down. I've used it for years and I have long, thick hair.

I have had a Thinning Hairline since i was 25 now i just turned 30, last few years i just kept the side's short with a number 1 and trim'd the top, put last year or so have been buzzing it with number 0, then a few weeks ago after i buzzed it i got home and shaved it, i said fuck it!!! thank god i have a good shaped head and i have a light beard too, but hair does not make the man, but i had a good set of hair like you Aaron when i was 20,lol

Losing hair isn't all that bad. Tell those guys that freak out and shave all their heads that not all guys can carry it off. The VanDyke with the shaved head (the stone cold Steve Austin look) only looks good on a small minority. The fringe kept closely shorn looks cool.
