I did a survey of the Irwell and remember going back and forth under lots of railway bridges from Tottington to Bacup. very scenic. Thanks for sharing
60 trains used to go through Ramsbottom station on a saturday when the accrington and Bacup line's were both open up until Beechings cuts. Just goes to show what a major station it was. Such a shame it's all gone now apart from the ELR.

Ewood Bridge and Edenfield Station platform and steps leading down to it are still there today.Fascinating to see how it looked in the sixties.
