I have to say this is the most unique kind of music I have heard in a long time. Its like Trance, smooth jazz, easy listening all mashed up into one thing.
Anyone know what kind of genre of music this is? I would love to hear more like it.
@wardog3d Id consider it "chill" music, Bent is one of my all time favorites, you might also like groove armada, my bloody valentine, cocteau twins, tosca, etc.
@83joonior Thx for your reply "ambient pop" I suppose music this unique doesn't deserve labels.. but if I had to give it anything logical that sounds like the one its closest to. Maybe "Ambient Chill"?
I haven't heard this track in many months since my comment.. wow I forgot what i was missing. This track is just amazing. Not to sound goofy as a grown man, but it almost makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Not a lot that can do that to me on this round blue ball but this music does.
@wardog3d The one thing I think about any time I here this song is that I want other people to hear it! I want so badly to find someone who enjoys mainstream music, have them hear this song, and enjoy it as much I do! I know that will never happen, but I can dream :--/
@83joonior I know where you are coming from.. heck to a large degree i enjoy "some" main stream music. However, you (the listener) definitely have to mentally get to a place to be musically open minded. When i was a lil kid I wouldn't have listened to this music if you paid me probably. Now I love exotic, peaceful and creative music of all types. I know people my age who also love many forms of music who still wouldn't listen to this. All I can is.. "It's their loss, but not mine!" :)
I had this song on a compilation called "music for dreams" and it was the best one on it. I always wondered why I didn't hear more of them. I just remembered this song tonight, and it's so great! I'll check out more of their stuff on youtube, thanks for posting!
This is one of my favorite songs ever. Bent is so overlooked that it makes me sad sometimes. All of their albums are great, especially this one, which I believe was called 'Programmed to Love'. This is track three. I could listen to it a hundred thousand times without getting sick of it. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Love it. Touch the monkey.
Sad & Beautiful, remains of breaking up with someone you love.. but that's life : )

Amazon has it rated on the following charts:
Music > Alternative Rock > Indie & Lo-Fi > Ambient Pop
Music > Miscellaneous > Experimental Music
Music > Dance & Electronic > Ambient
I was curious as to the genre as well, I would have said it's more along the line of "Chill" than ambient pop, but I'm no music connoisseur...

I'm outwardly calm, apparently normal, quick to smile, and slow to peak.
But I have a little quirk, a pattern, so to speak.
I rarely if ever hold a job, I never finish my work;
I'm an affable kind of a slob, a highly disorganized, placid sort of a jerk
