That sounds like a great song, but unfortunately i don't know kashmiri. My ancestors where from there, but because the families moved away into punjab we don't know the language at all. I was born in the U.K and i didn't even know their was such a language but i would want to learn and teach my kids aswell.

How difficult is the actual language and how different is it from punjabi? My mum was born in Kashmir but left at the partission, she was very young and my grandmother got married to grandfather who was from Sialkot so they only spoke punjabi. My father was Jalandar so he obviously spoke punjabi aswell. They have both passed away so i can't even ask them, but like i said i would like to learn so if their is a website with the litreture could you please pass that on to me. Thanks.
