Then every summer I go to Spain for maybe a month. When I come back to Hungary I speak Hungarian with a Spanish accent for at least two weeks...then it goes back to normal. It depends on the people that surround me.

Accents are a bit like genetics I suspect. Some are dominant and some are recessive. The UK accent is very dominant. My little sister has been living in london for maybe only 3-4 years now, and her australian accent has almost been completely replaced by a thick brit accent. Brits often keep their accents here in australia for a long time too. But some accents, like singaporean ones, seem to almost disapear overnight. Who knows why this is.
