People are dying to get into this country since their country is worst off then ours, this is the land of opportunity--which is why the Europeans came to America. I do agree that people should come into the country legally, though the reason why they come illegally is they live in poverty--they need help, and no one's helping them so they look for help themselves.
What about globalization? Foreigners are tired of low wages and working in harsh conditions.

Now it is one of the least developed countries in the world. Their Economic Growth is negative. Globalizing is more profitable for big corporations since they easily dominate and control unskilled workers--paying them very low wages, working under harsh conditions.
Families live off less then 1000 a month. In America that is obviously not going to happen, maybe at McDondalds. The population has cut down all of its original forest, and in the process has destroyed fertile farmland soils, contributing to desertification. A couple years ago there was a flood thousands were killed, if the forest was still there it would be able to sustain the rain
Now millions of Haitians live abroad mainly in the Dominican Republican, where the environment is more stable to support a family, this starts that process over again, clear cutting forests. We don't have to financially help these countries, though there are other ways...

Good points. I will say 1) the Constitution only applies to Americans, not our enemies, 2) the Geneva/Hague conventions (though you didn't raise these) apply only to "lawful" combatants. A.Q. doesn't count because they wear no uniform, hide among civilians, and prey upon innocents. They refuse to fight within an acceptable framework of human dignity, therefore we absolutely must defeat them on their terms/level.
