  • I made this recipe for the first time today. I had 4-1/2 lb. of chicken and I doubled every ingredient in the recipe because John said that as it was shown here, the wings were too bland. I made the wings as I described and I didn't like them AT ALL. Smoked paprika is nasty and totally overpowered the recipe.

  • They'll probably turn out better if you bake them on a cookie cooling rack placed in a sheet pan so they don't sit and simmer in their own juices and oils. This will probably help them crisp up better as well.
