You can have a clean street with no litter and grafitti, but it still can have anti social behaviour issues. More police on the streets will make them safe, not cleaning up the litter and other crap.

From my understanding its based on the psychological principle of safety in numbers -- in this case a street full of graffiti, litter and broken windows etc would imply a large concentration of anti-social individuals, thus making other thugs less nervous about committing crimes. A clean street by the same logic suggests to any potential criminal that they are isolated deterring them. Its a psychological deterrent against committing an offence that also makes communities nicer places to live in!
Media loved Blair, love you Mr Cameron but hate G Brown. The PM dislikes the media, hence the reason they are baiting him. People are getting fed up with it. The election will be v close and Mr Cameron knows this.
Koolestguy123, couldn't agree more. David told a meeting last week that he would not even continence leaving the EU. He also stated the business community is against leaving the EU, not true. Neither is the myth that it will cost Britain 3m jobs, as a piece of research by Ruth Lea a former Gov Economist under the Tories has said, Europe potentially would lose 6.5 million jobs, if they refused to trade with us. 4 million of them amongst the big five, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Holland.
While you already have my vote Mr Cameron, might I suggest that you include in your 2009/2010 manifesto a commitment to hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, even after its ratification? It doesn't matter if MP's think the treaty is good for the UK, the fact is we were not given our promised referendum on this constitutional change. The reason that people don't vote, I think, is because they see all politicians as liars. To make people trust politicians, politicians have to trust the people.
