There were many great entertainers of this era. No special effects and high speed processors and synthesisers to make them sound good. Just pure talent. I really think there is no best but he was one of the best for sure. Amazing song. I feel sorry for today's youth who can not appreciate it.
@fubar1369 I don't mean to be disrespectful, but as part of today's youth, I can say I fully appreciate Cole's abilities. And I think I can appreciate his style more so because of the sharp contrast between it and the music of my generation. As you said, he just had absolute pure talent. No special effects. I was always taught the only way to see someone's true talent is to just unplug them. Nat King Cole certainly passes the test.
Is it the original recording? The audio quality is so clear that it's almost unbelievable that this song was recorded in 1950!
