  • i dearly love this song ~ ~

  • This was recorded when Big Country was a REALLY good band. Now they're just a bad cover band using the name of a once good band. That's a shame.

  • The late-great Stuart Adamson...Scotland's best...and arguably the best pop song of its generation. Never gets tiring.

  • Big Country and Midnight Oil.

  • a few days!!

  • sweet

  • and they werent really from Scotland as it turns out, just Stuart.

  • big country when u come to peru ??????????

  • Yeah take that to all you Ameridols wannabes.

  • Take That J lo and Taylor Swift gee real talent

  • yeah no doubt about this dude great song real unfaked talent

  • 10 years gone but never forgotten. R.I.P Stuart

  • thumbs up if you live in the big country of North America

  • @eliasyenhoj

So, when did "North America" became a country ?

  • @MarxLovecraft ha ha true its a continent lol

  • this was a great eighties hit, under valued maybe

  • thumbs up if you came from Rock Band 3!

  • I saw these guys at Clowes Hall in Indy back in 1984. Still one of my all-time favorite shows! And I've seen quite a few shows!

  • An astonishing band. Bono is still alive. Why

  • I can listen to this band all day! Amazing talent and lyrics. This song and 'Look Away' are my faves. I am v proud to be Scottish!!!!! C x

  • As we were being frisked at the entrance gates to Slane (Neil Young with Pear Jam support) BIG COUNTRY were blasting out this song, they were on stage and we all loved them!! I remember saying to the fella.... COME ON FOR FUCK SAAAKE!!!!!!

  • lead singer passed away but we got to here this very nice tks for post

  • totally awesome group one of the best

  • There is no doubt... the 80's produced the best music ever...

  • Wow, that was a great performance!

  • still my favorite song when drunk at a Kareoke bar =)

  • One of the unique sounds and songs of their time.

  • i think if they could give evertone the chance again who commited suicide i bet at the end they would all change theier mind , im sure they do it while on drink or drugs ,

  • Views don't mean shit, there are loads of fans that don't use the internet!

  • hace poco me recordaron que esta era la música que me gustaba de chiquilla ...

  • I love Big Country. They are an inspiration. A true original No one else sounds like them, even to this day. I miss the band and their music.

  • I keep coming back...this is the bollox!

  • Still as great as ever!

  • fuck these adverts.

  • Timeless classiс.Why modern pop doesn't sonds like this?Maybe modern pop singers sell ot those souls for devil?

  • good old memories!!!!! thank you!!!!!

  • Miss these guys,cool post,thankyou!!

  • Brilliant!

  • its so sad he killed himself...Great talent..a waste...

  • What's sad is that they had so much more long term potential than Culture Club, the band that beat them out for Best New Artist Grammy. Maybe things would have turned out differently for them.

  • Outstanding!

  • Wow- usually today a live performance of songs show that the singer has little talent, but this guy was really good. classic song!

  • Love The Band Stuart Adamson R.I.P YOU AND THE GANG MADE MUSIC COME ALIVE,

  • @djbillybop Thats it for me....good comment! Great post!

  • I love this song...reminds me of my teenage years..........RIP Stuart..... from Philippines

  • This song is almost 30 yrs old and it still sounds great today. Most of the crap coming out today is pushed, overproduced, and hyped up cause it has no substance. It won't endure the test of time.

  • What a great song and a great performance of it.Thanks for posting it.

  • I wish I could have told Stuart Adamson that this song brought me happiness when I was a teenager. Still enjoy this song.

  • Brilliant !!!!

  • scotland`s finest that SHOULD`VE been much bigger !! thanx 4 postin.

  • An amazing band with many great songs and recorded live performances.Unfortunatley they never got the recognition they deserved.

  • fantastic

  • OMG I was there, I... wow, I didn't think I'd ever see this again! Thank you so much!!!

  • Great song, one of my fav .

  • Le con, il s'est suicidé !! il me manque...

  • most great bands are underrated..and BC is one of them......the new bubble gum shit really sucks big time

  • timeless....great......one of a kind, literally

  • what a great drummer great song

  • @jemcuk i Agree Mark Brzezicki is a great drummer and it is a great song (=

  • A very fun band

  • CLASSIC!

  • Couldn't agree more pattycart. What a great band this was

  • It's really sad that a great performance by a very talented group of people has only a little over a thousand views and in the collum to the right it shows that no talent crap gets millions of views

  • @pattycat100567 skapaul69 posted a version from 95 that has over 62,000 views.... it's friggin awesome! Check it out...

  • @pattycat100567 dont worry, these dudes were the best!!

  • @pattycat100567 40K now. :D

  • @pattycat100567 But what a great tune that is, still think its a brilliant song.

Just makes you feel very happy, ahh who cares if it's only got a few views, it's the people that like it that counts I think, if it was popular for me then I probably wouldn't bother watching it.

That's one thing I don't get myself, people want to be unique, why follow the herd? Hmm pause for thought there, good comment mind!

  • @andrew8833 You're right , I just really love the music and think if they had been appreciated more Stuart might still be here

  • @pattycat100567 Ahh it's a very catchy (but not cheesy) tune.

I really like it myself, I mean having listened to a bit of this band years ago, listening to it now, seeing Pete play with them before he played with Runrig, is really cool.

I really majorly appreciate Peter Wishart, it's like I feel almost like I can call him Pete, since I've met him a fair few times and he remembers me too.

Very decent man I must say, they all are though really, good people!
