As we were being frisked at the entrance gates to Slane (Neil Young with Pear Jam support) BIG COUNTRY were blasting out this song, they were on stage and we all loved them!! I remember saying to the fella.... COME ON FOR FUCK SAAAKE!!!!!!
i think if they could give evertone the chance again who commited suicide i bet at the end they would all change theier mind , im sure they do it while on drink or drugs ,
What's sad is that they had so much more long term potential than Culture Club, the band that beat them out for Best New Artist Grammy. Maybe things would have turned out differently for them.
This song is almost 30 yrs old and it still sounds great today. Most of the crap coming out today is pushed, overproduced, and hyped up cause it has no substance. It won't endure the test of time.
It's really sad that a great performance by a very talented group of people has only a little over a thousand views and in the collum to the right it shows that no talent crap gets millions of views
@pattycat100567 But what a great tune that is, still think its a brilliant song.
Just makes you feel very happy, ahh who cares if it's only got a few views, it's the people that like it that counts I think, if it was popular for me then I probably wouldn't bother watching it.
That's one thing I don't get myself, people want to be unique, why follow the herd? Hmm pause for thought there, good comment mind!
@pattycat100567 Ahh it's a very catchy (but not cheesy) tune.
I really like it myself, I mean having listened to a bit of this band years ago, listening to it now, seeing Pete play with them before he played with Runrig, is really cool.
I really majorly appreciate Peter Wishart, it's like I feel almost like I can call him Pete, since I've met him a fair few times and he remembers me too.
Very decent man I must say, they all are though really, good people!
i dearly love this song ~ ~

This was recorded when Big Country was a REALLY good band. Now they're just a bad cover band using the name of a once good band. That's a shame.

The late-great Stuart Adamson...Scotland's best...and arguably the best pop song of its generation. Never gets tiring.
