  • i love my country long live the queen

  • Bloody hell, I watch this to feel some pride for my beloved Britain, but all I come across is what seems like BNP-esque racism. Britain remains Great due to its embracing of other cultures, not the condemning of them.

  • @RobAllen21 Nothing wrong with other cultures as long as 98% of it is British VOTE UKIP

  • @infidel1978 Congratulations at being 2% more tolerable than a BNP supporter.

  • @RobAllen21 Congrats on being more tolerable than the SWP.

  • @Islamisbad1 Oh, right.

Because everybody who doesn't have a problem with other races is a socialist, huh?

  • @infidel1978 UKIP follow a tradition of gaining lots of support then messing up at elections.

  • @OfficialRJLextro The latest polls show they are the fastest growing party in the UK and soon will be the 3rd biggest party they are already on par with the Lib Dems. They are the only chance we have to put the great in Britain again and put a end to the stupid left wing Marxist and liberal policies that have fucked this country up big time.I voted for the tories and expected better than what we're seeing but i suppose with the Lib Dems at side of them they get held back.

  • England is a mess, far too many imigrants, its only a matter of time before it crosses over the border into my beloved Wales, thankfully it isn't so bad. Vote UKIP to make Britain 'Great' again!

  • @nrjelley WRONG WE NEED TO GET RID OF WALES AS WITH SCOTLAND AND THAT OTHER BLOODY PARASITE IRELAND

  • Anyone notice the freesmason flag?

  • @HeyHeyHey8I So what

  • @infidel1978 oh, i just thought it was cool/interesting.

  • sorry to sound out of sink with the conversation, but i fucking love sarah connolly.

  • I want that flag-sword so much...

  • how did I get here? Seriously I have been watching docos on the Paras and this is the recommended vid?

  • I see lots of Brits and Europeans posting about the slow decimation of their own non-Islamic cultures by the Muslims. I read of decling birth rates, falling Church attendance, re-defining families through legalized gay marriage (they can't procreate), abortion, secularism, moral relativism run rampant in the British Isles and Europe. Seriously, in all honest curiosity, what are you all doing to win the culture war? -Houston, Texas

  • @002Tube

Falling church attendance, Muslims etc etc aren't the problem. The problem is the traitorous Republican left.

  • @002Tube

You are obviously not seeing the problem. It has nothing to do with all those points you just pointed out, In fact, the countries that have followed these trends tend to be the least violent, most tolerant societies on earth (unlike America, with the highest murder rate among the developed nations, and the least tolerant-but the highest pro-religious percentage(strange that). The problem lies in lenient immigration policies. Europe needs to address this. Learn before you speak 002tTube

  • @MrKaapie OK, point taken. Which current of political thought tends to favor more stringent immigration policies, conservative or liberal?

  • @002Tube

Definitely conservative. Even they aren't heavy footed enough, the EU laws on human rights prevents a lot of countries doing what they want to do.

  • @MrKaapie You have to joking??? i'm all for a bit of tolerance but somewhere along the line you have to but your foot down. The UK have become too tolerant and far to left and liberal and for being too weak a stronger culture will take over it's the way nature works.

  • @infidel1978

I totally agree. But the UK is it's own worst enemy. The youths of today don't want to do the small jobs. Because they have 'degrees". So they bring in migrant labour who will. It's been going on since the 60s. The problem is not tolerance, unless we go back to the dark ages? The problem is over population, bad immigration policies, and a loss of British identity. We cant go back to the days of the British empire, now we just have to the best we can be.

  • @002Tube

Seriously, in all honest curiosity, what are you Americans doing to win the economic war against CHINA ?

    mmmmmmwwwwwhahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!

  • THIS WAS THE CHARTER, THE CHARTER OF THE LAND....FUCK MUSLIMS

    BRITANIA RULES THE WAVES

  • @CaptainWatson234 Where in Norway did you go? Because many parts of Norway is white but some parts are quite non-white.

  • If you did not feel British at about 3,40, please leave now.

  • This should be the United Kingdom's national anthem. It has so much more gravitas than God Save the Queen.

  • id love to go to the Last Night of the Proms, the atmosphere during Rule Britannia and God Save the Queen would be FRIGGING ELECTRIC!

  • I'm a Yankee (of Irish heritage, to boot), so this is totally unbiased: This... is fucking... AWESOME!

  • Courage and Patients Englnd. Soon Arthur will awaken. God Save the Queen!!!!!!

  • if you dont get it now dont try to get it, obviously its not for you. but dont try to piss on the people who do get it, id die for a commonwealth country anytime, just like me grand pa

  • At first I was like "What the hell is Napoleon doing on stage?"

  • @MathiasEhn its meant to be a British admiral

  • @Timsiam And we Celebrate our Queen birthday not our Independence Day

  • I find it interesting how Americans know next to nothing about European history lol. I guess that's what happens when a people close them selfs off from the world.

  • When Britain first at Heav'n's command

    Arose from out the azure main;

This was the charter of the land,

    And guardian angels sang this strain;

Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves:

Britons never never never shall be slaves.

  • Magnifique ! J'admire votre patriotisme !

  • This would be good, if some posh tart wasn't screaming all the way through it.

  • i'm french-argentine and after earing god save the queen, jerusalem, land of hope and glory and rule britannia i say that rule britannia is the right anthem for you!

you're a great country you need a great anthem, god save the queen is fucking boring!

  • why is there a german flag at 1:58?

  • @SniperXD123

The Proms is a fun, international attraction, yes?

SO there are many flags from some countries that theoretically have a nonsensical connection to Britain, though Germany (Hannover) was in union with Great Britain and Ireland for over a century.

  • The British and the rest of Europe will be slaves if nothing will be done to save our culture and people. Foreign cultures are destroying our culture and countries and their great culture and history with the Islamic traditions and culture. I don't want to live in a country where my children have to speak Arabic or go to school to learn about the Quran or Muhammed the great plague.

  • @Khristophoros1001 Islamic, indian, european, chinese cultures have been part of Britain's culture for centuries. Children should be taught about the world, I am yet to see any child being taught to hate their own culture or a culture being put above their own. By all means, lets ship our kids off to the Christian Brothers to knock the fear of God into them. Raise them to know all cultures and they'll make their own minds up not what we brainwash them to believe.

  • @Khristophoros1001

Can only blame Great Britain for conquering India and African countries.

  • @MrISniiPE If we didn't conquer it the French would have. You should be grateful lol.

  • @NottinghamForest22

haha dont tell me its a bad thing, tell the guy slagging us off how were being invaded by foreginers lol.

  • @MrISniiPE well we are being invaded lol.

  • @NottinghamForest22

We've always been a multi-ethinic society and you can blame the fact we decided to invade asian and african countries over the past 500 years for that.

  • @MrISniiPE no, since 1945 we've been changed into a multi-ethnic society lol, and we shouldn't be held responsible for what our ancestors did centurys ago. I dread to think what Britain will look like in 50 years.

  • @NottinghamForest22

You fail to remember our Empire crumbled in 1945/46?

Our Empire in Asia and Africa was around since the times of WW1, in Modern Times as Commonwealth countries who we still represent and look after they have some rights to come here, The Indians, The Australians, The Canadians, The South Africans and others. I don't agree to the amount of immigrants coming into the country but I have respect for those who respect us, especially the Canadians.

  • @MrISniiPE

You know we made a royal palace in our western most province in the event of a German victory on Britain.

We love Her and the Windsors.

  • @Khristophoros1001

and yes .... I agree with you, I'm Italian and I visited London recently.

I am shocked and even offended by overly Islam is seen in that city.

yes I am Italian, but ..... London as a European is my land and is part of my culture and I can not stand the mess that is happening there with Islamic invasion .

    Wake up Britannia.

  • @exnemocpt So true! Islam is completely destroying Europe and if Islam wins then our ancestors fought for nothing. They fought to keep Islam out twice and won, but this time they are trying to invade not by sword but by immigration and through cultural conquest. And Islam is a religion that states that Islam will dominate and that everyone should follow the world of Allah. Hopefully will Europe soon wake up and realize that Islam is an imminent threat! ;)

  • @exnemocpt Maybe that is why there ARE NO UPLOADS OF ITALYS PATRIOSIM BECAUSE YOU HAVE NONE !

  • @grooverheliboy

    Uahuahuahuahuah.......you're so funny...insignificant wee guy

  • @exnemocpt and your so full of envy for the UK a country that ITALY WILL never be ..WATCH AND WEEP SIGNOR...

  • @grooverheliboy

    XD))...

    Are you a jester?

  • @exnemocpt no just proud to be British and hate those from another less patriotic country who weep with envy..

  • @exnemocpt i can't stand islamophobes either...

  • @Khristophoros1001 What part of Britain do you live in?! (If you aren't British, apologies, but i'm assuming you are) In the North, (apart from Blackburn) theres a very small foreign minority who don't try to force their laws on us, and we quite happily co-exist. Theres no way that Britains culture will be submerged. Think of it this way, if it helps: Most of the immigrants are coming from ex-british territories.

  • @Khristophoros1001

    hear, hear!!!

  • @Khristophoros1001 Islam is protecting Britain from Americanization. Would you rather accept Islams civilized culture which is now present in British society or America's uneducated culture?

  • @e0o9kii i'd take any other culture than islam. Women do not have a voice in islamic culture. Funny how young islamics come to this country for education?!

  • @e0o9kii Europe is far more distinct from American culture than you may think...

  • Well it's always better to enslave then to be enslaved. This pride disgusts me, as if I saw a very fat man, who ate much to much.

  • Why Are There So Many Comments About UK and Slavery? The British Empire Was The First World Power To Abolish Slavery. If You're An American, Specially an African American, You Shouldnt Be Bashing The United Kingdom, Bash The United States As It Was One Of The Last Countries To Abolish Slavery...And That's Only After A Bloody Civil War.

  • @lilJuvis15 Slavery is still quite prevalent about the world, particularly Africa. Hardly "abolished"... but most Europeans and N. Americans could care less. :p

  • @KittySN Its not about not caring, what should we do? Invade these countries to change -their- governments? Mm. Good plan. Also the phrase is, 'couldn't care less.' If you could care less it means you care a little bit as there is room to care even less.

  • As a proud monarchist in Canada I ask "Why the hell not?"

  • Being Canadian I must recognize the shear importance of the British Empire and the music that communally brings that nostalgic desire of the empires past.

  • i cant imagine any britain that wouldnt be proud to be british after hearing this it saddens me deeply that we in germany cant show our sense of nationalism anymore only because one mad man from austria had to abuse us to achieve his plans...

  • @0011GB - That´s a good one, we all know that Britain is America`s poodle and you talk about independance? The real decisions for the U.K. are made in Washington make no mistake about it. Is you military still searching for the WMD in Iraq??? Some day the Brits will begging to join the Euro Zone. Don`t worry. Berlin has the surrender document ready for the UK to sign

  • @MrKatzengreis Haha that's funny because not even Germany wanted to join the EU you all were against it in the polls but your country was forced into it anyway? Tell me what country is the little bitch? Most of the world hates Germans apart from other country's who slaughtered millions of innocents like you also. We should of just finished the German race off in WW2 then we wouldn't have to deal with punk ass kids like yourself today. Haha Long Live Britannia!

  • 3:52...WHAT?

  • que se acuerde "lord nelson" de tenerife y donde dejo el brazo...santiago y cierra españa!

  • Absolutely wonderful! I wish every country in the world could have things like this each year. I wanna have this in Sweden too...

  • RULE MERKOZY - MERKOZY RULE THE EU - lalalalalalala

  • @MrKatzengreis Yeah good on you're EU and its socialist policy with Germany in the throne, I'm sure history is repeating quite nicely.

  • I still believe Ann Murray's Rule Britannia in 1996 was the best. Though Sarah's will be within my top 3

  • I thought that was a dude.

  • Whats with thr popping things in the background?

  • National Identity at its best there.

  • fantastic madam britain salutes you

  • She's great! So great!! What a voice!

  • I can't stop seeing her as Miranda Hart singing it. I love this performance so much.

  • Sarah did a FANTASTIC job! My favourite performance of Rule Britannia by far!

  • @qyzuf and the prussians and the native American tribes and the united provinces, the thirteen colonies, France the holy roman empire and the Maratha confederacy there's loads

  • I should have been born in the 1800's. I would have loved to serve in the British Imperial Army under Queen Victoria.. such an honour.

  • my hair stands on watching this. Magnificent. Only a lady singer can pull this off.

  • Some countries celebrate their Independence Day, England is a country that should celebrate their Conquering Days... This was the day we conquered Africa, America, india, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, Canada and so on.... Because Britain rules the waves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Timsiam

That would be terribly un-British :)

We dont need a day/s to laud it up (unlike other nations), we know how GREAT we are. We have the trooping of the colour and the proms to show off to anyway... :)

  • @Timsiam awesome to conquer and kill and maim isn't it

  • @Timsiam Britannia rules the waves!!! and has three loyal children called Canada, Australia and New Zealand to stand by her!

  • @nyr1994 I know several Australian and New Zealanders, who state their alegiances are to the US. Sorry to reign on your parade, as it were, as I am of English heritage and admire England. However, these are facts which are undeniable.

  • @jampitts 'Several' You do know how much people live In Aus and NZ, its more than that. Several people can't speak for an entire nation

  • @IkKomUitNoordIerland Yes I know how MANY people live in these countries, but when you have a sampling and the entire sampling agrees, that tells me the sentiment is dominant. And of course a handful of people do not speak for a nation, however, these are observed facts.

  • @jampitts Well then, I guess I have had very different experiences with aussies and kiwis than you have.

  • @nyr1994 Though i may be in favour of an Australian Republic, i sincerely hope Australia will retain her honourable and loyal ties to the United Kingdom in the event that an Australian Republic comes to pass.

    Rule Britannia!

  • @Timsiam Well, actually you conquered parts of America and Africa.

  • @Timsiam at the time i was new france then the british change the name to provence of quebec after thprovince of quebec was lower caada and ontarion hight canada and then when all the british provence in canada where unified and made a confideration the name was change to canada

  • @Timsiam Don't feel too proud... Much blood has been shed for this.

  • @tut238 your point being...? do you know of any countries without a pretty violent past? i know of many empire and i would say ours was the best

  • @Timsiam Make up your mind England or Britain not the same mate.

  • @Timsiam sounds hitleresque to me, trying to conquer the world

  • @jackzero99 Isn't that what America is doing right now? Trying to conquer the world?

  • @MathewChild It's what Britain is still trying to do now. Who was responsible for the bombing of Libya? The EU. Who was responsible for the bombing of Serbia? The EU. The EU is led by Britain.

  • @jackzero99 And in what universe are you getting that idea from? The EU is not led by the United Kingdom. As far as I am aware, everything is settled in Brussels, and led by individual national governments in six month terms. These terms are agreed years in advance. To my knowledge, France currently holds presidency over the EU.

  • @MathewChild Brussels didn't call for the bombing of Libya and Syria. Brussels has no power but the unelected bureaucrats living there. The strings are being pulled by the bankers and power brokers in London. The presidency of the EU is just a titular head to make everyone think they have a voice.

  • @MathewChild MatthewChild... This is the second video I have happened upon, so far, that you are causing unrest. I do wish, for the sake of peace and honor, that you cease hostilities against other Youtube accountants. I understand that some of these individuals are... daft, to say the least... However, it is yours to be the better man (or lady, if I am incorrect) and step over these base and foolish comments. Keep calm, and carry on.

  • Straight At Em Sarah sir!

  • What a marvelous sense of humor...When a small island rules most of the known world they make the rules.

  • I Fancy Her......

  • I love the British, they sneak in subtle witty humor into *everything*!

  • @brianblackberry

They probably did while singing this to enslaved negroes, too.

  • @SwedxSimon02 Sounds like someone is jealous :)

  • @TheSaintAza

    Of enslaved negroes?

Not really, that's more of a status symbol in UK.

  • @SwedxSimon02 Don't worry I've seen other swedes comment on these videos as well putting down Britain haha you guys seem to feel really inferior to Britain eh? And i know deep down it's because you guys have no videos like this or traditions as great as this i feel bad for you i really do, must be hard knowing that if your country sunk into the ocean tomorrow no one apart from Ikea consumers would miss you :(.

  • @TheSaintAza

I think my comment made you a little more upset than what was intended.

    Enjoy your stolen wealth.

  • @SwedxSimon02 And i think this video upset you a little more then ever intended :( being jealous is a bad trait but I expect your young and still have yet to grow out of it.

  • @TheSaintAza

Enslaved negroes is not something to be jealous about. You're a brit so you wouldn't understand.

  • God bless Britannia!!!!!

    Greatings from Sweden

  • Amo a la GRAN BRETANA!!! que DIOS salve a la REINA y todo ese bellisimo pais!!!

  • A wonderful celebration of a glorious empire.....a tiny rhealm ruled most of the known world. Hail Britannia...always and forever. God Save the Queen.

  • @ghodium she is awesome

  • @ghodium I'd fill her with my British sp- Actually, let's not go there...

  • And to those who use foul aggressive language when commenting, my 8 yr old watches this clip along with her school friends. It sickens me to think she might read your unspeakably horrible sentiments

  • @SarahConnolly63 You should wrap your children up in cotton wool and shield them from the harsh realities of free speech.

  • i WISH THAT YOUTUBE DID NOT HAVE A COMMENTS SECTION GIVING A PLATFORM FOR IDIOTS TO SPOUT BILE AND RETORIC !

  • @grooverheliboy Or that they did have one and called it PLATFORM 2 FOR IDIOTS TO SPOUT BILE AND RHETORIC. PLATFORM 1 FOR NORMAL OBSERVATIONS AND APPRECIATION

  • @SarahConnolly63 It really would not stop the idiots from giving their unwanted opinions !!

  • Please don't use this clip as a platform for argument about who is or isn't right!!

It's just a fun musical night out with an element of history. Nothing more..unless you wish to make it so and ruin it for everyone else

  • My god! I'm so bored of coming onto youtube videos that have anything to do with a country and seeing bickering over: Who did what in the war, past feats of strength, why my country is better than yours ect ect.

Sit down, watch the video, enjoy the video because at the end of the day no one gives a fudge about what you think of their country... because they love it either way.

  • Amen to that brother.

  • from the first second on this you feel at home.. in england. :)!!

  • take your dirty german flags down and put up a UNION JACK!

  • Great music....great hall....great audiences....and a finely sculptured pretty face and voice...A pleasure to watch her and listen to her over and over again.

  • beautiful and powerfully moving – even to the point of being infectious - music, with wonderful chorus accommodations; given its imperialistic connotations notwithstanding, lyrics still highly inspiring and majestic; performed by a remarkable soprano/dramatist with flaming, telling eyes which suit the occasion well

  • So much more appropriate than what we had to watch last Saturday!

  • Always remember this! The United States,The Commonwealth(nations of all shades) came to save your asses in WW2.If not for all these nations,All of you in Britain will be speaking German today!.So please be a little humble.

  • @inspirewisdom Bullshit.. the allies would have won without the USA's help as well.

  • @RsGhost1 I think you are wrong. The Allies would have lost without America's help.Firstly, In 1941 Churchill was really worried about the "Battle of the Atlantic" whereby Nazi U-Boats were torpedoing British shipping down into the Atlantic. He later confessed that Britain would have run out of food in a few weeks if not for the "secret help" Mr Roosevelt was giving to Britain(Because the U.S was not yet at war until December 1941).

  • @inspirewisdom Alright, but the allies are more than just Britain, Russia was by far the biggest help.

Forgive my reaction, but the "America saved your asses in WWII, so stfu" notions usually are not appreciated by Europeans so to speak. Firstly because it's not entirely true, of course you helped us a lot, but 'saving' is a bit of an exaggaration since Germany was already losing in 1944 when the USA joined the Western Front.

  • @inspirewisdom And secondly because most people saying things like that had nothing to do with WWII

  • @RsGhost1 My grand-uncle fought in North Africa under the British 8th Army and many Australians,New Zealanders and African Commonwealth soldiers were grateful for American help in fighting the Germans. The Americans came with their 5th Army. That saw action in 1943 in North Africa and Southern Italy right up to Rome.

Lastly, the U,S were manufacturing at a rate of a 1,000 military aircraft a day planes for D-Day and the Pacific. So you don't seem to know your history sir.

  • @RsGhost1 Lastly,if the you are saying the Russians helped rather than America. Why didn't they send any weaponry to Britain before 1944 especially on D-Day and Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands where the battle-hardened 9th SS Panzer Division were stationed whosaw action in Stalingrad.Surely your so called Russkies would have fought them. But they didn't send a single soldier.Russia was fighting for its life in 1942,43 etc,It was 1944 that they were sure they could trounce the Nazis.

  • @inspirewisdom I'm not saying America did not help, you helped a great deal but you did not 'save' us. Also, Russia was fighting Germany on the eastern front, not the western front like the USA and GB, did America send soldiers to the eastern front? No they didn't..

  • @RsGhost1 too right

  • @RsGhost1 hate it when americans say they saved us. we were perfectly fine on our little island. britai also came in vital for d day landings strategically and more. As long as we had the royal navy, we were fine.

  • @RsGhost1 I beg to differ sir!.Uptill Dec 1941 when America entered WW2 officially. The only victory Britain had was the Battle of Britain of which I salute the British, the Commonwealth and the Polish for staving off the Nazi advance plans for invasion. The next victory Britain and the Commonwealth had was in 1942 in El-Alamein against that wiley Desert Fox, Rommel. But if America had not come into the war in Western Europe,The British would have had no chance.Especially with the U-Boats.

  • @inspirewisdom America started fighting Japan in '41 yes, but they did not join the European front untill '44. How did America fight off the submarines? Also, Britain had gained many victories, mainly on the Italians.

  • @RsGhost1 America contributed to fighting off Nazi Subsmarines by escorting British Merchant ships alongside the Royal Navy by sending in American destroyers to escort the Merchant Navy and Royal Navy.

As for the Italians they were not a problem for the British Army, the Italians quickly gave up on the field of battle such as El-Alamein,Tobruk,Southern Italy,Monte Cassino etc, etc. The Germans were the main threat why? they were heavily indoctrinated by Nazi ideology.

  • @inspirewisdom They may not have been a problem, but they were a threat that needed dealing with. Easy victory or not, it was an important one.

  • @inspirewisdom Don't be silly. The chances of the U-Boat strategy succeeding were next to zero. Indeed the closest Germany came to starving Britain was during the first world war. In the second, Britain instantly introduced convoys, had destroyer and carrier sub hunters, the largest merchant marine in the world, and more than enough naval industrial capabilities to withstand losses.

  • @sagajagan Then why did Winston Churchill confess in an interview after WW2 that he use to read the Psalms for God's protection of the Merchant Navy when U-Boats were slicing Merchant Navy ships like a "hot knife through butter" in 1942 and 1943? That was the only battle Churchill said Britain nearly lost and the nation would have starved.

  • @inspirewisdom I don't care what Churchill apparently said. This is the man who thought it would be a good idea to invade Gallipolli during the Great War, and a good idea to adopt the Gold Standard when he was Chancellor. This was the guy who also said that victory in the Battle of Britain was the only thing that saved Britain from a Nazi takeover. Never mind the Royal Navy or anything, like. He liked to exaggerate a tad little.

  • @RsGhost1 I am really surprised that you don't know when America joined the war in Europe. It wasn't 1944 but as early as 1942.I am surprised as a Brit you don't know this.First few months after Hitler declared war on the U.S in Dec 1941, in 1942 the United States Army AirForce 8th Army were already flying daylight sorties over Germany. Then in 1943 Operation Torchlight that involved the U.S,Britain,Free French and the Commonwealth drove out the remnants of the Afrika Corps from Africa.
