jesus fucking christ i was born so many decades late if i had been born 1950 and had like unlimmited money all i would do is go to woodstock, bath festival, california jam, ALL LED ZEPP CONCERTS GOD DAMNIT WHERES THE DEVIL I NEED TO SELL MY SOULD FOR THIS!
I was 16 when I went to this gig of all gigs still remember it like it was yesterday (music was so good I don't even recall the rain!!). Highlights for me were Johnny Winter, Flock, Pink Floyd and the impromptu 2 hour performance by Donovan cos none of the bands could get there cos of the traffic!!
@Cygnus111 Thrill's a little vicarious, sure--but of course nowadays we're spoiled nowadays, what with thousand-track recording technology and a camera phone in every hip pocket.
Yep, I was there too. Happy days, but crappy weather. Still I didn't really notice that much. Liked the spontaneous Donovan set. Zep were on at a real weird time of day if I remember correctly. Festival go-ers today havent a clue. Bogs supplied, food outlets everywhere, free tents, multi-entertainment stages?? WTF is that all about.
We even had to walk for miles to get to the Shepton Mallet site.
@qprjd Ya.. stupid concerts of today, try to milk more bucks out of you than to actually have you enjoy a concert. And I would rather see a peanut sized singer from being way in the back of the audience rather than watching these big stupid screens. Very distracting. Might as well watch the video at home.
Zeppelin were KNOWN for their live performances. It was a whole experience. The studio could barely capture the magic they produce on stage...don't know what you're talking about Winfield lol
Why isn't he singing the right words?

I'm glad this exists as an historical document, because it sure doesn't deserve to exist as music !

Wow, this sounds like Led without Paul Jones, Bonham and Page. Of course it would sound bad.
