  • 15 ppl blamed it on the alcohol !

  • even though it was a isync... still brings back memories...isnt that what its about?

  • how old is this band?'

  • @maddykhach3434 20 yrs

  • The girl in this clip is such a good actress too.

  • i don't care, but i still like this song.. n they were so hot!

  • Who was the real dude?

  • I SAY THAT AS A BROTHER,FRIEND AND SOUL PARTNER IN MUSIC FAB TURNED HIS BACK ON ROB WHEN HE MUST NEEDED HIM...HE SHOULD'VE STUCK WITH HIM THREW THICK AND THIN..I GUESS THAT ROB HADED A BETTER APPEARANCE THAN FAB COMMERCIALLY SPEAKING..---HEY YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IS IN THE MIND OF THE BE-HOLDER...

  • does it matter if they lipsing? Even if you saw them in concert you atleast see them in person.

Plus the day they were in concert and they were lipsinging could of been there first time lipsinging

  • Fakers, still sound good

  • rob was a giveaway on the videos with the head knobs

  • Great music here..

  • Always liked these guys music. They rock.

  • milujem ich a je mi jedno, že to oni nespievali...pre mna sú oni Milli Vanilli

  • they were fake but the music was real... nice

  • It amazes me how judgemental people used to be. Look at the shit they call music now. Most of the singers use voice enhancers and sound like they're 23rd century robots. And hey, lets not forget Ashley Simpson's little bru-ha-ha on Saturday Night Live. I don't worry that these guys were fakes. They were good-looking and lip-synched to etenally beautiful songs.

  • i like it

  • I know hindsight is 20/20, but looking back, Rob didn't look like he would have that voice.

  • I feel so bad. They got raked over the coals for this. Now, everybody samples everybody else's music. I agree, they didn't sing hit, but does Britney?

  • Rob Pilatus was beautiful

  • Cheesy but love it!

  • Good song but they're not good lipsyncers. :)

  • Too bad that these boys have, borrowed for this fraud, but still the song is very good, and representative of the 80 `s, one of my favorites and more in this version, greetings from Culiacan, Sin., Mexico, the .¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡..... no man's land

  • This song is a guilty pleasure!

  • Black Box did the same thing and I only recently found out. The lead singer was fronted by a hot woman who didn't actually sing. I feel taken when this happens but I don't blame the front people used in the fakery. They are human and will go along if they can be convinced. I do blame the scheming cheats behind the scenes who would take us for a ride so they can make a fortune. What else isn't real in this world? I am finding out that much more than music is not as it seems. RIP Rob.

  • @JanBee1122

thats old news...It was outed by the real singer years ago..its actually the same lady that sang on C&C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat"

  • i love them rip rob

  • no bad i l9ove that song but i waqnt to know the real singetrs

  • Rip Rob, you are missed....I love the music (regardless of the controversy).

  • Look its not fair to the person who is actually singing it just saying

  • music start 0:10

  • marcaron una etapa de los 80 para muchos

  • I love the music, no matter who sung it....The issue was not their lip syncing, It was not their voices...Someone elses voice and their performance. Grammy was taken away..I still loved them and listen to a few of their songs.

  • they were great, period!

  • They are classic - lip syncing or not, their music was great.

  • they could have lipsink all they wanted man!! I am still a fan !! RIP Rob!

  • der awesome

  • milli vanilli could make a come back lol

  • nice song

  • Lip sync or not, the group, the music, and the song are awesome in 80's era.

  • 37 yrs old and I still love these guys. Who are the real voices of Milli Vanilli, why didn't they come out with some new shit in 20 something yrs?

  • @kidcayopr , look at : The real Milli Vanilli !

  • @kidcayopr

They did, under the name : the real Minni Vanilli.

  • people are so cruel rest in peace Robert...

  • 1 of my guilty pleasures. YEA,I SAID IT!!! Don't be scared.

  • I don't care that they Lip Sync'd I appreciated their entertainment RIP guys you deserved better

  • I still have the CD I bought in Germany from them

  • I know the record business... regardless of the controversy they had...they were still great. These guys deserved to be treated better. L.A. Roger (aka Roger Jewell)

  • Awesome 80`s.,This song pumped in the niteclubs.

  • What show biz person isn't somewhat fake? Besides there were pretty hot!

  • I was a fan of Milli Vanilli, and part of it was then looking cool. that's why the 'Real Milli Vanilli' didn't work. they were ugly mofos, deal with it.

  • heard this song for the first time a few weeks ago on my friends dad's vintage jukebox it still works you just cant choose what song plays. We were playing pool and this song came on there and just the good times combined with that awesome song got this song like stuck in my head. I love it

  • why is the song so horriibly out of sunnch with the video ? also is this band still making music . Sorry it is my first time hearing theese guys and I have to say they are great singers . I really love the beats .

  • i was born in the 70s hell i lived all these great songs....

  • one of my favorite song in the 80's! wow! memories!!! hahaha!

  • i miss with this song..

  • it sucks dick being born in '96 & missing out on great music like this.

  • @HaterAssasin But you were born in 96, so you have the technology to enjoy great music like this, and more, at any moment you wish, for free. If you had been born in 76 for example, you'd have to wait for hours on end for MTV to play this song, if you had MTV at all. And the radio? You'd have to wait until the DJ played this song. You have been born in an era where these are things of the past. You have Youtube, the best thing to happen to music since the Radio.

  • Just glad 2 c so many milli vanilli fans out there who stuck by em no matter what :D

  • it doesn't matter what they did the music was nice and brings back good memories! too bad one of them had to die, bc he couldn't cope with what happened to his career :(

  • @sanayarich so sad and true,,,,i couldnt agree with you more!!!

  • i was crushed when they got nailed - I was 12! :<(

  • Yea I agree it is great music lip sync or not

  • awesome memories from the frost bitten days of high school winter days... thanks for posting! those were the days...

  • I'm with the majority. I remember when the controversy broke and we all thought it was funny and made jokes for years. This song, however, remains to be a good song all these years later. Todays pop vocals are all computerized and nothing is organic anymore. Autotune is used in every genre.

  • @FlieDaddy tru dat baby :D

Milli Vanilli was da bomb diggity fresh!

  • I DONT CARE ABOUT THE LIP SYNCHING THIS SONG AND VIDEO BRINGS BACK GREAT MEMORIES OF MY TEENAGE YEARS..

  • so good !!!

  • Don't care about all the controversy,100% in my top 10 songs of all time!

  • I love this song!

  • today they would have been autotuned and there would be no scandal because everyone does it.

  • This destroys any pop music today.

  • Another good song besides GYKIT

  • They were good enough to fool people

  • Even though this video's older then father time, I still like it and think they are cool!

  • They may have been lip syncing - but dam - they did look good. MMMMMMM - love the back shot with him sitting on the chair. I liked the music a lot too - and wish the real singers had gotten the recognition they so justly deserved.

But these two boys were great eye candy - and I am sad it ended the way it did.

  • milli vanilli all the way.....luv the fake dudes.

  • Who was the real person that sang this? I cant seem to find anything on them.

  • @Subaruguy8508 Did you look for "The real milli vanilli"? in 1991 they released a song called "Keep on running", a fat guy does the main voice.

  • Love it too and I love them!

  • If they had autotune back then they wouldn't have needed to lip sync.

  • Been raining for almost 24 hours straight. On my way back from shopping the rain reminded me of this song. Blame it on the rain! these guys had it good until that damn record skipped!!

  • blame it on the executives.

  • Did they ever show the people who really was singing their songs?

  • @hakeem215 Yes, It was some very good singers out of Maryland and they were at the time not considered attractive. I saw some video of them, they were a little chubby and older. So I guess that is why they chose these fellas.

  • @hakeem215 they had an album called 'the moment of truth' with real guys on the cover

  • @franchise1122, yeah. The skipping confirmed what the rapper (who worked on on the album) said.

  • Blame it on the Rain Yeah Yeah

  • I have this on my ipod!

  • this an old ass song!..but i still like it.!

  • Me and Chris Thompson wrote this song.

  • choice song i dont care still cool songs

  • Blame it on Pinocchio... yeah yeah. Miss the 80s

  • so how did they get found out?

  • @jeff135rulz they were performing for the grammy awards (i think) in like 91 or 92, and while they were performing, the cd started to skip. they then bowed there heads and walked off stage

  • @keedavid88 actually it was a Club MTV performance when it skipped and they ran off. "Girl you know it.. girl you know it.. girl you know it..." It just kept skipping.

  • Lip synching or not- Milli Vanilli was awesome.

You can be a fan of the performance, or you can be a fan

of the voice. Heck, be a fan of both aspects, but you've got

to admit that this was some great 80's-90's music.

  • @11polkadot1 I couldn't of said it better myself! : D

  • @11polkadot1 UGH! you see it, why doesnt anyone else? i try to explain to ppl that its NOT about them synchin', they was just awesome! i talked to one girl who agreed wit me :D hehehe :D it was about the fashion, the music, the moves, the package...but seriously, who cares bout da lip synchin'...they had the presence and what they were was a product. sad to say it but that was it. they were an illusion. what celeb isnt nowadays? what singers DONT have their voices fixed electronically now?

  • @11polkadot1 Ya I wish they never got busted I wish they had more albums

  • @11polkadot1 I sooooooo agree! Wow!

The guy on the mic committed suicide a few years later. Sad :-(

  • Blame it to Connecticut concert !

  • They were excellent for the look of the band-who cares if they lipsynced? Many do it even now...the real singers didnt have the look necessary to achieve the popularity that these guys brought to the songs-and Iam sure the real singers got paid enough for their voices. The showmanship and good looks of the "fakes" are what brought in alot of the fans!!!

  • The music is still good. Give props to the real singers.

  • Do NOT EVEN PRETEND YOU DIDN'T LOVE THIS SONG!! Yeah yeah fake , yeah yeah scandal , who the hell cares , I know you dry humped someone to this song BITD :)

  • Forget the lip-sync scandal- Milli Vanilli put out some cool music in their time. Rest in peace, Rob Pilatus.

  • Meanwhile in Gay Bars...

  • Billboard's #21 hit of '89. MV hit #1 pop, #14 soul, #27 AC, in Billboard. God bless! RIP, Rob Pilatus!

  • Who cares if they lipsinked or dubed audio, this song rocks.

  • I think the back up singers are real lmfao

  • Geez, 20+ years and I'm still burned out on this song. When it first came out I was in the Army on KP duty and someone kept playing the album in the kitchen over and over and over for two days while I washed dishes. That's all I can think about now whenever I hear these guys.

  • why did they have to give there grammy back?

when artists like lady gaga are using auto tune and technology to sing.

hows is that any better than lip syncing?

  • @Doofman17 I agree with that, definitely. the only difference with the lip synching thing, though, is that these guys lip synched to other peoples' voices. they didnt even sing this in the studio. its like C+C Music Factory. You think that skinny chick in the video sang it? Absolutely not.

  • Everybody lip syncs. They just got caught!

  • lip sync is ok. its like when i jack off and think about jessica alba. in my mind i busted a nut on her face. nobody is hurt with me nutting and nobody was hurt with them lip syncing

  • @joeisthegame LMFAO thats the best explanation for lip syncing I have ever heard XD

  • the art of music...from a different side....yet they were great entertainers !!!

  • Yes, Milli Vanilli were exposed for being fakes, but think of the possibility that there are others out there that didn't have managers who had a conscience.

Despite what happened, I still appreciate the music, no matter who really performed it.

  • Even as a kid I said no way that it is them actually singing.

  • Ah!!!! Chicos por que no siguieron igual y ponían a los verdaderos cantantes aunque sea al costado para q compartan el éxito que hacían!!!

  • man this mix is off the hook bro where did you get it?

  • too bad the Milli Vanilli management played it all wrong, because the singers were actually very good. If they had just admitted up front that the two frontmen were just for video purposes the whole mess coulda been avoided. 20/20 hindsight i know.

  • @theseether Very true. It is actually good music and they should have played it very differently.

  • I thought it was kinda funny when the blonde haired girl whipped her hair grabbing her bag.. Who does that??

  • their act made their music so huge....even if it wasn't their music. They were really good with their act.

  • WHATEVER YOU DO DONT PUT THE BLAME ON YOU!!

  • is that molly ringwald at the beginging?

  • NOT at all music I would listen to but it made me laugh and smile so it's good for something! (to THOM HUNT with much love!)

  • slammin beat

  • Para mi siempre seguira siendo Milli Vanilli, ,.. los unicos,... siempre tendre mi poster y siempre ponder mi MV pintada en la pared ,.. grandes ROD & FAB ,..

  • they were hott except for there clothes but omg look at those eyes .and i still like the songs .in 1989 i was 7 lmao

  • is rob a southpaw? heheheee

  • i actually love the song... no matter what! forget about the singers!!!!

  • how could people not know this was fake!!! the musics awesome though...ray horton rules

  • i cant believe thats not really them

  • Funky and soulfull song! The light skinned one was a very good actor. He really FEELS the lyrics even if he is not really singing them.

They could have made a lot of money these days. Nobody cares about the playbacking anymore.

  • Ya who cares if they didnt sing it. I still love this song.

  • who cares if they did not really sing the songs, just look at them, they were gorgeous!

  • I do not care if they di not really sing the lyrics, I mean look at them, They were Gorgeous!

  • Excuse me any mistake, I speak Spanish. Here in Colombia, and all South and Latin America, this song was number one, I remember in 90's everybody danced that song in discos, beach parties, carnivals, etc. here on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, it is still very famous in classic parties. I like it a lot. I don't care if they are the original singers or not. but both the song and the video are super cool ! I'd like to know more about the model who is still alive and the real singers, at present

  • well done mi man!! nice move n i fell like moving myself 2 like the way you move, come n see me 2nyte n teach me how top move.

  • This group was an anomaly of tragic musical history. The sound is timeless.

  • ooh i lve this song i know evry word cus my moma im young but i know the song already my moma is in the 20z and she listend too this in her 16s

  • I know they had some training and tried to sing for themselves, but I bet with more training they could have sung good enough to pass off the songs as theirs.

  • blame it on hussein

  • I used to fancy both of them...I never knew they were both gay until recently.

  • @iEmma1974 They were not gay.

  • @iEmma1974 Neither Rob nor Fab was gay.

  • Great SOng I love it!

  • I know what they did...but G**D*** they were realy cute anyway XD

  • Classic Diane Warren!

  • hey, Rocstarr, why so PC? After all, the late James Brown didn't sing, I'm African-American, and I'm proud' It's no shame to call blacks, 'black.' God bless!

  • was great period of music 80/90s

  • Still a great song after all these years.

  • It's not that shocking when you think about it. After all how many artists lip synch and mime during live performances!

  • thoug the biggest scandal in the 80's... still their songs are great to listen...

  • @matutina456

Did you ever listen to THEIR songs (the ones Rob & Fab actually sang, a few years later)? They're not quite as good as the Milli Vanilli stuff, IMO, but it's still not bad.

  • who killed sgt pepper?

  • a mi me gustaban muchov y llore pila al saber la verdad , bueno , yo tenia 15 años

  • I could never understand why the guy who really sang these songs didn't just do it himself. He had the talent. I still have the cassette and once in a while pop it in and give it a listen. I'm probably one of the few who didn't trash their record.

  • @Thadesgal Their disks broke only in the USA. In Europe the such did not do. In Russia in general almost had no possibility to look their video, therefore only listened to music. After scandal their album has been published in the USSR. It became N16.

  • Thadesgal -"I could never understand why the guy who really sang these songs didin`t just do it himself"

Because to make it big you need a lot more than just talent.Songwriting, producing, promoting and many other things are involved in the process ,and that means a lot of money. There is tons of talent out there that will never make it big.Thats reality.

  • Because the real singers of Milli Vanilli were studio singers, middle-aged African American Vietnam veterans living in Germany. They were part of it because the producer, Frank Farian, was a very powerful man in music in Europe and they essentially worked for him. Plus, it's how dance music functions in Europe, it's more about the production than the singing, so they traditionally don't see lip-synching as big of a deal as Americans do.

  • i think i still have the cassette too.. ha

  • SHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they sure did make the song look good and I sure did love the songs ,,

  • i luv dis song i just wish they still made there songs but now just like CitrusOrientizal said we blame it on da alcohol now oh yeah

  • what a song too bad it wasnt them

  • Yea too bad it was'nt them, the song still kicks ass though

  • who cares is wasn't them... today everyone is using autotune anyways.... it's sad. if they sang nowadays their careers wouldn't have ended.

  • To me Milli Vanilli represent the end of the great 80's era of music.

They were true gold, both the actual singers and those two wonderful and tragic performers.

  • Nice mix! I like this version of the song!

  • Lip sync or not.... Love these dudes... I wish the band, the real singers, and MV could have continued with the great music. Classics, Good Times, and Sorrows.

  • The real singers did try to continue, as when Milli Vanilli was exposed as lip-synchers, they had material already done for a second album, so it was released, credited to the actual singers. But it wasn't very successful and many of the songs on it were remixed and given to another group Frank Farian created called Try 'N' B when they came out in America.

  • aunque no cantaban ellos marcaron una epoca todos vailamos sus exitos me encantan

  • nowa day we blame it on the alcohol

  • I still jam to this in my truck here in 09. Great song, great voices and great all around...I miss this music...

  • yo tengo el video no lo e destruido

  • I bet he is not really weilding that bumper either.

  • dont care if they are fake, this music rocks.
