Orca Whales - Lime Kiln Point (San Juan Island)

So at this park, you just go there and sit and usually whales will come up? That would be so AWESOME if only I had the money to travel there.

They don't always show up and usually not that close to shore. I've gone out to Lime Kiln about half a dozen times and I've only witnessed something like this once.

I have seen the whales from Lime Kiln Whale watching park several times, and was just wondering if the lighthouse is within walking distance, I believe it is down the trail to the right of the entrance. thanks.

Yup, you just take the trail to the right of the entrance instead of going left to the watching point.

How I miss San Juan Island, and Lime Kiln, is the the park, or nearby? Hugs to my whale friends. Its been 12 years, and I can't wait to return.

This was right next to the lighthouse. It's a spectacular place to watch the whales from.
