One of my favourite Sandy Denny & Fairport songs - Chris While was superb that night - I was there! Note the presence of Richard Thompson & Dave Swarbrick "guesting" on a classic!

I was at Cropredy in 2007 and Chris While channelled the spirit of Sandy Denny to the extent that when she sang this song, I cried.

Not that keen on this version, to be honest - the solo RT track off his Free Read box set is the definitive one I've heard. There's something a bit wrong with the sound on this one?

Thanks, this is magic! A lot of people still appreciate songs that tell a story. A tip for Sandy fans: Go to the Jackson C. Frank site, there's a link to a really intelligent article about what's behind her lyrics. It's fascinating stuff!

Awesome! At first when I saw there was someone singing in place of Sandy I was a little worried, but she's good!
(I'm actually a 2nd-generation fairport fan - my Dad got me into their music and I love it!)
