These people are deluded if they really think they can save the world from themselves and create a green utopia where there is no pollution and everything is clean and green. Get a life you bug worshippers.
Friday the 29th of July has been declared an ‘Australian Carbon Tax National Sickie’. Please spread the word far and wide, and enjoy your day of National inaction.
Resulting from the state's failure to preserve, against superordinate authoritarian coercion, the overall best interests of our Nation, exercise of sovereignty transferred to the state by majority consent of the Australian people has become subject to the question of legitimacy. In order to reaffirm the mutual obligations inherent within our society’s social contract, our Nation's first step shall be to ‘dig the toe in’.
Memo from the Rothchilds to Get UP: You useless fucking shits! we gave you all that money via that lying sack of shit Gillard, all you had to do was convince your fellow Australians that paying a scam tax will make the world cooler? You fucked around that long,,,Now they know there has been know warming since 1995!
LOL....Oh man peoples ignorance is amazing. 'say yes' to what? renewable energy? It can in NO way handle the population of australia. There is no viable energy source that can do what these people want. Bunch of do gooders acheiving nothing. Your arogance actually thinks it can 'control' the climate? WoW, I am for helping the environment but lets be realistic
Get up has shown its self to a left wing group that only supports the greens and labor it seems to oppose free speech and when group or in a recent case companies dare to oppose something they agree with, get up starts its bullying and scare tactic ways
Well done Getup on your 'No Live Export' ban. I won't be donating another red cent until you can guarantee me that my money won't be used by NWO One World Government projects like your 'Global Warming' tax. I'm trying to figure out if you're: A) funded and controlled by the same banks that bought Al Gore, or B) Just plain ignorant and strong headed. We Australians say "NO!!!" to being taxed for a common gas (carbon) and realise that our planet is COOLING not heating up
Pip-squeak crowd, for a pip-squeak populist policy.
1) Hey Greenies look up what your precious 'solar panels' are made of and how long they last.
2) what companies does Al-Gore own?
3) how is the population controlled? Through fear. Anyone worth their salt and dismisses human induced climate change is labelled a heretic! 16th century anyone?
Australia said Yes? When the fuck did we have choice on this scam tax that every poll that wasn't done by the greens said huge majority said NO, if getup is so confident Australia wants this tax then advocate for a new election
Carbon tax. Pffft. If it comes in say hello to more overseas manufacturing, loss of jobs and a less better population. Call an election now you red headed DOPE!
1) I've been to these climate rallies before, and the numbers they claim are always grossly over inflated. I went to a rally that claimed 20,000 and in reality it was 1,000, maybe 1500max.
2) I hope everyone is aware that pricing carbon will end up costing you more. If you think energy companies are going to just take it out of their profits, think again.
3) Getup is a 'rent-a-crowd' organisation. Yes there are a few who actually care, however a lot are doing it for other reasons.
Global warming is a fairy tale made up by the same science community that said we evolved from apes and the sheeple in Australia will believe anything.
@mrchiefofsinners you sound like a judgemental religious nut who is a 'sheeple' himself, that will believe anything your church tells you. But you believe yourself to be holier than thou so you cast your generalisations and judgements on matters you know little of. Your also proud to the point where you call yourself the chief of sinners. You are full of hubris and reek of a ignorance, but ignorance alone won't absolve you of your crimes. Perhaps it is time for self reflection and less judging
Simon - you do a big talk about 100% 'renewable' energy, yet you only talk about taxing us for carbon usage. If you really want to lead us, then get our governemtn to put our money where your mouth is - by spending our precious tax dollars to create renewable energy production. We have ZERO confidence or plans of our tax dollars will be ringfenced by our the biggest government in the world (per capita), and spent on renewable energy. You're playing into the Rotheschild families NWO plan. Peace.
Why did Simon Sheikh fly to New York? Work or pleasure? Wouldn't teleconferencing or holidaying in Australia be better for the planet? Or is Simon, like Cate, just another climate change hypocrite? Please explain!
Jonathon Winters said in an interview during the 70's, that the energy crisis, (of that time), is a gift, an opportunity for common sense and making better use of our lives. He talked about getting back on the push bikes. Now we really have entered the energy descent stage and it will be a wonderful opportunity. Trouble is the corps want to scrape and grab at every last drop of energy they can squeeze out of the planet that they can.
@majest3 And 45,000 people is not 0.0019% - it's more like 0.19%. Don't worry you were only 100 times off the right answer. You must have been to the same school as Alan Jones and the other climate change deniers.
@msw7547 My mistake, but it is still a small number. To put it in perspective, the Crowd at the first state of Origin at Suncorp, was around 50000, 0.19% is less then 100 people!!! I'm sure AJ can work that one out as well.
@majest3 So where are the 50,000 people rallying against the carbon tax? Anti-carbon tax allies have been tiny by comparison despite having shock jocks spruking their cause. 4 former liberal leaders supported a price on carbon. As did Abbott but now he has back flipped to score political points. Abbott's climate change action plan will tax Australians, the carbon tax will only tax big polluters
@paulstuartmason If you are so certain that the Australian public are in favour of the Carbon Tax, you should encourage Gillard to call an election and then we will no for sure, but Little chance of that based on the last 3 polls.
Big business is there to make a profit for there share holders, so do you really think that they wont pass on any increased costs ( TAX )????
@majest3 We just had an election and the Australian people voted for strong climate action, that is why the Greens, Independents and Labor have created carbon tax. Carbon tax will compensate households struggling to pay bills. If business pass on cost save money by becoming most energy conscious. A report yesterday even debunks the 'it will ruin us rhetoric' showing a carbon tax will have hardly impact on employment prospects
@paulstuartmason What was it that Gillard said before that election??? “there will be no carbon tax under the government I lead.” I think that debunks your concept of the Australian people voting on climate action. You must be in the ALP loop because no one else seems to know what compensation will be paid or even what price carbon will be priced at !! The Gillard / Rudd Government has made a mess of the Insulation give away, the BER & u think they can implement this, God help us.
@majest3 I was disappointed in Gillard saying she wouldn't implement a price on carbon before the election, but she had no choice when she formed a minority gov. I agree mistakes have been made in the past on both sides of politics. To be honest I would actually prefer Turnbull as PM right now over Gillard. Plenty of ppl know about the compensation. If u don't then you must be listening 2 people like Alan Jones or Andrew Bolt. For the facts on a price on carbon check out sayyesaustralia
@paulstuartmason I know what they are suggesting, but none of it is set in concrete and no official announcement have been released. The site you suggested doesn't provide any deffinate facts just a broad outline of the rhetoric the Gillard goverment is putting out. What l would like to know is of the 50% that goes to "Struggling families", which families and for how long? Will it be increased each year as the price of carbon is increased? What is the Income cut off? I bet your an Al Gore Fan.
@majest3 Gillard's credibility is already in hot water, she would b stupid not 2 increase compensation in line with carbon price. If u watched ABC or SBS news u would see she has announced compensation as the core of price on carbon. It's complex legislation & it's not all announced so that's why Say Yes Austalia is calling on Gov 2 ensure a strong & fair price. I admire Al Gore, yes 20% of his presentation had some errors but now 97% of climate scientists agree, humans are major factor in cc
@paulstuartmason Her credibilty has never stopped her making stupid decisions before, why would it change now? Where do you get your figures from "97% of climate scientists agree" ??? I bet you believe the science has now been proven, more Gillard Rhetoric. Ask these 31000 scientist if they think it has been proven oism.org/pproject/ this is America only. Maybe you should have a look at our CD outputs and compare them to our neighbours in Asia? A tax won't change that.
@majest3 hysterical! look 4 32000 scientists on u tube & u will see that the so called 31000 is hilarious sham. I get my figures from Academies of Science from 19 countries plus many scientific organizations that study climate science. More specifically, around 95% of active climate researchers actively publishing climate papers endorse the consensus position. Look 4 Doran 2009. Nothing is proven in science but the evidence is overwhelming. Now if u will excuse me I have uni assignments 2 do :)
@paulstuartmason YOur right that video was hysterical,Sinclair who produced it has a long affiliation with Al Gore, so suprise suprise on the content. Still waiting on your link to the proof that 97% of scientist agree with the IPCC claim of climate change. You are right about one thing, nothing is proven on science, actually weren't they the same people telling us the Ice Age was coming 30 years ago?
These people are deluded if they really think they can save the world from themselves and create a green utopia where there is no pollution and everything is clean and green. Get a life you bug worshippers.

Anyone find suspicious the 2 sponsored results appearing in a Google search of 'carbon tax'?
Now that imposed legislative dependence is certain, I wonder how soon our GE supplied nuclear reactors will be arriving?
Careful what you wish for...
