@counternub40 Well yes, but you cant have it too close to your body, because then your body would heat it up & it will look like your clothes. To my knowledge even glass will shield you from showing up on the thermal optics.
@counternub40 I think it should work as Aluminum can be used to insulate body heat but Al foil is noisy when bent & probably may overheat a person in a hot & humid climate.
There is a German company that supposedly made a "Ghost" suit to disperse body heat with minimal visualization on a thermal image:
@johneymute Thermal optics are usually bigger & usually not meant for moving around with at least to my knowledge, and although they can diffrentiate people from a further distance than normal night vision. Night vision works well in close spaces like osamas house, but not from a distance at least in a dark forrest. They also give a tactical edge when the opponent is most likely not to have such gear.
There is a question. "Thermal contact lenses" if so I want it, because there are "night vision contact lenses" and also in Germany, there is nothing of the two
I have the technology to compromise flir and I'm not going to patent it,nor sharing it. For every positive there is a negative, for every spy device, there is an anti spy device.
@WestcoastMusicals Oh really? Because I have the technology to compromis FLIR too (it's called a 10 dollar thermal survival blanket)...You fail at life.
@mookixox Thermal blanket, lol.FLIR can penetrate that, and your body heat becomes more concentrated with a blankey, lol. My anti FLIR is a series of small devices, that I will not disclose on youtube.
@WestcoastMusicals You said "compromise" not "eliminate completely", and a thermal blanket will help compomise FLIR because it keeps your body heat IN while keeping COLD out, which is the whole idea of a fuckin 'survival blanket'. That means it emits less of your heat to be detected you moron. No one cares about your shitty idea that you don't want to sell and lose your life savings on.
Now try and storm a pitch black bunker on a cold night with thermal vision. Targets will light up beautifully, however the walls, halls and doors will not... at all. Over all i would say Night vision for navigation and moving while in combat and thermal for spotting and long distance combat.
They forgot to mention some flaws tho. You can't see anything in a heat. It can be blinded by anything that produces heat just like night vision can be blinded by bright light source. People wearing thick winter clothes (real winter, at least -20°C) are invisible too. Same with special metallized camouflage clothing.
@JRock005 im not to good with memory but i guess there is a company who has the technology to see through walls a believe its through a sonar sound thing but its not yet practical because it takes to long for the full image to devolope
These are really expensive and don't provide as good of an image as is shown in the video. Basically, you are able to detect hot objects ( like people, animals and working car engines ) but are not able to make out any details ( face features, etc.)
the thermographic camera was invented in 1929 and declassified in 1956. if they had that in 1929... imagine what technology they keep away from you now.
There are situations where NVGs are better than Thermals, like when you want to see IR chem lights for example, or IR lasers (PEQ-2 or PEQ-15), or IR strobes. None of those will show up on Thermals.
