I a tone junky, i want to purchase this strat, when i do...was wondering, where can i go to learn more about this blender wiring??..would like to do the same mod
Very very nice. This was a very enjoyable video to partake in. Tone quality, fret work, nice and smooth. If you please, what were your settings on the amp dials Good day
je pense que c'est une classic player 50's : petit logo stratocaster (par rapport à la 70's) ,tige de réglage type tête ,touche érable et bon son bien claquant ,ouai c'est bien une fender stratocaster classic player 50's.
it's not a 50's strat, it's the classic player 50 like you're using in the vid. i was just wondering if you think they're worth the money. or in this case, worth what i'm getting it for.
I agree. The classic player 50's go for around $1,390.... I would play it on every possible setting and compare it to a Fender American Standard Strat before buying. They are around the same price, and an American Strat has more value down the road.
Unfortunately, yes.... our economy sucks right now :)
Actually the prices have dropped, the American is about $1300 new and the Classic 50's is about $1000.... but I bought my American Standard brand new for $800 at a guitar store :D
I see you're playing with your fingers like Mark Knopfler . . . you're sound is also simliar to his (to my ears, anyway). Do you know what kind of amp he typically uses? Also an AC15CC?
MK uses many amp...like old Fender Vibrolux, Fender Deluxe Reverb, many old Vox , one old Marshall JTM45, Soldano, Komett 60, Reinhard Storm 33...I use Vox A15CC...
Merci beaucoup toute l'info - c'est très apprécié! Savez-vous quel ampli il utilise sur les chansons: Brothers in Arms, Sultans of Swing, et aussi 'Where do you think you're Going' et So far Away? Son tone est vraiment incroyrable sur ces chansons! Merci!
Sorry to bother you with all these questions . . . but do you also know which guitars and effects he played in the studio on those tracks? I often tried googling this info and looking on forums, but I could never find it. Thanks so much.
Your speaker is a Greenback, right? Wha't exactly model? G12M 20W, G12M 25W or G12H 30W?
Your tone is amazing, man!

great playing. hey i have a question, I have a chance to get one of classic player 50's for $800. should i go for it? i mean, sound like a good deal?
RQ3S 3 years ago
dude, defff... that sounds like a good deal for a 50s strat. those things are like antiques, they sell for like 10,000 on ebay, dangg

even so, I would still go for it, because it just doesn't compare with these shit imitations they have out nowadays. not the same tone or quality..

For the "Studio" version, i think...
BIA=Marshall JTM45
Sultan of swing & where do you...= Fender Twin Reverb or Fender Vibrolux...
SFA=?
For "live" version, today he uses : Komet 60, Reinhardt Storm 33....In the past : Soldano...There are very very long time : Musicman amp.
