Thanks for the reply. I never read the novel. I have no clue what the movie was about. I was just referring to the trailer. I thought the trailer was awful in terms of trying to show what the movie is really about. Thank you for explaining the movie concept to me and I agree with your comment. I still didn't like the trailer because that's what I got out of it. :) I heard the movie was great and the oscar buzz proved it.

The trailer is stupid. I basically get that a couple complain about their not so original life where they have a house to live in without leaking roof, a job that is secured and not desired but pays the bills without having to worry about foreclosures, and kids that doesn't give them trouble. Hmm..... I'm definitely not sold on the trailer and will pass on watching the movie, cuz right now I feel like slapping the two for whining too much about things they take for granted.
