Shane Koyzcan changed my life, and I am sure I am not the only one who can say that. I turned this into a monologue and have been spreading his word. Check out my page to see it, he just does it so beautifully...
Heart breaking and so so beautiful. How exquisite to be able to put together such beautiful string of words that convey so well and beautifully feelings like this. That can touch the reader so deeply. What power lies in words - what an artist. Incredible I have read this poem many times in his book "Visiting Hours". Buy it if you can. You will not regret it.

This poem hits so close to home. Every time I hear it, or it comes into my head I just can't help but shed at least a few tears. My grandfather passed away from cancer and he was the last person that should have deteriorated from this awful disease, if anyone should. I have this poem memorized. It helps not to be so sad if I say it along with him.
i was in the dance move pen move that you most likely saw not too long ago. i'm touched that we could touch someone like this and it was sincerely an honour to perform this dance.
dude you're rocking the foundations of this society from below the ground in your blatant heart breaking. breaking those hearts of even those you don't know. beautiful. just, beautiful <3
I'm french my dad died of cancer this year and any of french poem made me cry, this one was the first poem that make me cry. Maybe it's because I relate it to my life but he have a way to speak that nobody does, a way to say thing that cut your heart like nothing can't. This poem is perfect.
I truly apologize. I came back and listened to it again, to see why you would lie to me, only to realize you were not.
I have heard this poem a thousand times and it has made me cry just as many. It is one of my favorite poems.
In the video that I heard it, it begins when he begins; there is no girl. Therefore, when I heard a girl for like a minute of this one, I didn't bother continuing to listen and I was extremely angry.
No song, no poem, no picture, nothing has ever fully grasped the grief, until now, and it's beautiful
