@Gemineye1 The drummer obviously wasn't trying to take the original composition literal. I would play it differently, but he's not wrong for doing it this way.
@Gemineye1 What are you talking about? It's 100% on-beat. It's called a skankbeat and it's used all the time in thrash metal and punk music. These are thrash metal covers of the music, not faithful renditions of the originals.
