Is that the Sparrowhawk yard at the beginning, where they come out of- by the Beehive Bridge? I grew up in Mitcham - I had moved by to Norbury by 1979. It was great to watch this as I recognised some of it- especially when the were in the town. Thanks for posting!
Yes Robby Tom is still alive and kicking and lives opposite me. Look out for a blinged up Black Mazda pickup, he is often around the Mitcham area. He deals in horses now.
I live in Mitcham, I recognise the streets. Is Tommy still around now? I know the Sparrowhawk yard is still there, but, alas, we no longer have rag and bone men, sadly.
I really enjoyed watching this, just to see the street views, parked cars etc.
Those two old radiators he threw on his cart would fetch good money today as they are back in fashion.
He looked quite smart as Rag & Bone men went - today they drive transits down my street and look dog rough with it - how times have changed. 5***** :-)
@redvers21 I'll have a chat with Tom and ask if he remembers Jack.

The Sparrowhawk yard had huge green corrogated fences round it when I was a child. I used to play with one of the grandchildren.

These guys are still around if you look. I saw two different horse drawn rag&bone
carts in Bradford recently.
