ok look. Nice idea, cute character, weird situation, and I admire your obvious love of sunsets and night, but the fact of the matter it that an animation is made to be seen by an audience. If your audience can't see what is going on because of bad lighting, then the animation is at fault, not the audience. I'd say work on doing a good night sequence, but work on the lighting...

it reminds me of the coyote in the coyote and the roadrunner. It doesn't make much sense, it's too dark, and the lion looks like an idiot. The style is also just...weird...*shudders*

you still need to find a way to make it visible. blue light id often used...

a lot of films take place in the dark but the audience can still see what is going on.. think of it as light that comes from the same place as the music.

I think it was hard to follow the logic.. what happened when he went up in the tree? why? and why vlow the tree up if he can just sleep somewhere else? some of these things could have worked if we got to see a bit more of wwhat the character was thinking in the facial expressions and movements.. it seems that even the character knows he is following a script and doesn't quite know why he does what he does.
