What an absolute waste of resources. I'm sure there are families that could use a good vehicle to get back and forth to work, regardless of it's gas mileage. But this is how our government works, throw away or destroy perfectly good items for the sake of appearances.

They could have given many of these to people with low income. There could have been a lottery, for each area, and requirements for condition and e legibility. Some women with kids, and a dead beat dad, could use some decent transportation.
