  • fantastic design and programming! ...on another note would anyone kindly tell me the name of the background music?

  • This looks very dynamic. Great work! I'm an architecture student as well and my professor always asks that design would be energy efficient so I would like to ask you how much electricity it takes to move these panels? For example if you make each panel into solar panel while lighting is fair and you need to move them twice a day would each of them generate enough energy just to move itself or move itself and leave spare energy as well.

  • @deiminasu

    Thank you for your comment.

It would be easy to move all the panels with solar energy but for the protoypes it was too expensive to realise it. But we are currently developping solar panels.

  • ...and the song is great too :D

  • Wow! this is so terriafic! Impressive talaga! Ikaw na nga!

  • دا أتاري :))

  • wow.... is fantastic!!! but, what is the price for such a structure? Because it looks expensive

  • all this has to be a solar panels, sure

  • Hello, I'm an architecture student as well. Would it be possible for me to get the details of the facade too?

  • @tage3011: will be possible ... send us an E-Mail to office@giselbrecht.at, telling us your name and where you´re studying and why you want the information (special request?). Regards, G+P

  • Fantastic this is about as adaptable as a facade could possibly be and I agree with LizaarBR this is an opportunity for some serious green architecture.

  • Wondering wht s the life span of the mechanism..

  • wow..never seen b4..we like!

  • attractive and yet pretty simple. does anybody know the name of the song?

  • Very nice!! my question is, where are the electronic system installed? underground or where?

  • @1059680: the motors and other compnents are installed in the space between the glas facade and the dynamic facade. If you send us an E-Mail with your data we can send you some details of the facade to show how it runs ... G+P (office@giselbrecht.at)

  • And where are the motors installed? Underground or where?

  • unbelievable it's awesome @@

  • I wish we had the opportunity to learn how they detailed this. Im an architecture student and would really like to learn how they detailed this facade.

  • @Hinaisthebest: if you send us an E-Mail with your data we can send you some details of the facade to show how it runs ... G+P (office@giselbrecht.at)

  • After a minute of watching this "art work" my second reaction was how is this multiple apparatus cleaned. If this project was installed on a building (New York) where air pollution is less than optimal I can foresee the look of these panels after a couple of months as less than attractive.

This would require more extensive work than washing windows?

    Dan

  • how does this moving panels affect the lighting of the rooms.

  • Wonderfull job , can some body tell me who is the fabricator of this system.

  • @vinaysrivastava72: the facade was made by Kiefer technic themselves - so if you want the contact data of the firm please send us an E-Mail with your data.

    Giselbrecht+Partners

  • @giselbrechtzt very nice but what if inside they want a steady light condition?

  • @Isaiah6517: no problem - nobody needs to move the shutters; the video just shows the possibility to to, but there´s a manual system to move them.

  • @vinaysrivastava72: the Kiefer company did it themselves after we did the planning - at the moment we have some other companies, which can realize such facades - if you are interested for a project please send us an E-Mail (office@giselbrecht.at)! G+P

  • fantastic & intelligent.......very smart way also express as 'architectural mouldings'

  • thats cool but i think i would consume much energy

  • This is a typical top down control; rather than a liberal user-oriented bottom up behavior.

  • It could be useful in case of zombies

  • @ander8569 - Good thinkin'. Never know when zombies are going to take over. lol

  • whats the music called??

  • Guys, you are awesome

  • hahahah, dancing facade, its fantastic!!! looks like this's not hard to make... good job...

  • Beautiful, I visualise those panels are solar and adjust to maximize solar catchment.

  • Interesting Idea!

What loads of wind can this system withstand? When open? When closed?

Does the motor make a lot of noise for the people inside the room?

What happens when the "elements" are opened and it snows?

  • @rapoto:

Normal wind speed is no problem; noise of motor is not very loud, so working people are not failed; for snow fall or rain there´s the possibility to install a sensor, so that the elements are closed in this case.

  • i would hate it being inside cause of the contest light change

  • @principealverto: No need to hate it; the clip is a performance made for the opening of the building -

each collaborator can control "his elements" individually.

  • @giselbrechtzt yes i know that, i just said that it would be a pain to be inside when the door are opening and closing, that was all

  • @principealverto you mean... like how the sun is constantly changing?

  • @principealverto - Thats cool. Quiet ingenious, indeed.

  • good idea!!

  • why won't you tell us the name of the track?

  • @koryduarte: we do not know the name of the music track ... :-(

  • Its an awesome solution to the problem of light and ventilation in a building...

Can I have your email address so that I can mail you and have more knowledge about this mechanism.

    Thanks

  • @khurana007: mail-address for more information is office@giselbrecht.at - tell us, what you want an we will try to help.

  • @giselbrechtzt Thanks for replying. I sent you a mail 2 days back after finding the mail id from your site. Kindly find it in your inbox with name Guneet.

    Thanks

  • @khurana007: I´m sorry, but I think, we didn´t receive the mail (just received one from trybharat) - so can you try it once again? Thank you in advance. G+P

  • World Class! Extremely innovative in design! Totally unique and interesting... I love it!

  • whats the name of the track?

  • d/giselbrechtzt,

please contact / email ur details on trybharat@gmail.com.

i am interested to know more about this product/materia/cost/procurement source etc.

    thx

  • great revo

  • top class!

  • is there really no other music they could have used for this......

  • it isnt high tech but nice idea

  • sicher billig das ganze ;)

  • @luke11986: Qualitaet kostet :-)

  • For me, this is a wonderful solution! Another proof that simple solutions are BEST! Just think, you dont have to build a very curvy and edgy facade- which will be the same all the time. Just a simple shape, but man! how many variations! Endless play with these panels. Every day you can have a different shape and during the nigh- full darkness at last! No one will peep as you walk naked inside:D

  • i think it's a cool facade!

anyone knows what's the title of the song..?

  • Interesting, but what is the point of it?

  • It´s a sun shading system consisting of panels made of perforated aluminium, the remarkable thing is that it´s no fixed system but a dynamic facade, which can change the appearance constantly.

  • while quite interesting, it is still a 'dumb' system. It's either on or off. It would be much more interesting if they were variable opacity plates or opaque plates that could slide past each other to create different amounts of light.

  • We do not think, that it´s a "dumb" system, because you do not have one position of the folding elements (open or closed), but various positions, which can change referring to the position of the sun and the people who do their work - so this creates an appearance, which isn´t equal all the time. If you pass by today the facade appears different than yesterday or tomorrow ...

  • @giselbrechtzt well I didn't mean it was dumb that way, because its obviously brilliant (in fact a few people used a similar concept in one of my arch design studios, inspired by this very video) but I think it would be really, really cool with several layers and the panes themselves being opaque.

  • @XR4turbo

    Stop hatin bro...

How hard do you think it is to change the panelling compared to how hard it is just to install the entire system properly? I'm pretty sure they've thought of the variable opacity panelling... This is a very nice project, and one that has endless possibilities for future additions/changes.

P.S. A fail troll is a fail troll.

  • How many kilowatts hour does it use per day?

  • wonderful! is it composite aluminium sheet s or somthing else?

  • The panels are perforated aluminium.

  • Is it possible to put photovoltaic system on to these panels?

  • Yes, it´s possible to make different surfaces.

  • do you think these are all pre programmed or there's some guy furiously entering code just for this video? lol

  • The clip is a performance made for the opening of the building -

each collaborator can control "his elements" individually.

  • @foolface54 what do you think? LOL

  • good, it shows something interesting

  • WOW!

This has both aesthetic and functional purposes!

It looks great and if they did it right it could also be protection from extreme weather! Close the panels when the weather gets bad to protect the windows and open them on a sunny day to let light flood in!

  • unbelievably good presentation of a really cool product :) that's cool!

  • what is the carbon foot print of this building ?

  • Se veria bien también con vidrio laminado y sus leds a los costados, programados para crear ambientes y fachadas dinámicas. comosea buen proyecto High Tech. Felicidades...

  • wow..it is amazing...please can you give me the contact of the manufacturer of this facade?..and nice work..regards

  • @ArcHHaneeF:

the facade was made by Kiefer technic themselves - so if you want the contact data of the firm please send us an E-Mail with your data.

    Giselbrecht+Partners

  • Congratulations, that's very smart and rich

  • AAAAMMMMAAAAZZZIIIINNNGGG!!!^^ i wish someday i can also design a building with a dynamic features!^^ hehe

  • an idea: the white panels could be solar panels.

  • too expensive :S

  • @LizaarBR Usually you want the solar panels to be "open" during day, but the white panels should be closed to let the light in...

  • @LizaarBR They could also generate their own energy, thus constantly moving!

  • @LizaarBR would power the mental energy costs such a system uses too :)

  • Hi, the video is awesome, but on a seperate note, can I know what is the name of the background music used for this video?

  • guys- do you know who is the manufacturer of this facade? I'm looking for a dynamic facade solution like this (or like in the Fuenf Hoefe hotel) for months... :-\

  • Dear user "zaquez79":

this facade is a prototype which was developed by our office and produced by the Kiefer company themselves - if you are interested in such kind of facade, please write us an E-Mail so that we can make contact between you and the firm or give you some more information.

    Giselbrecht+Partners

  • Thank You very much for the fast reply. I'll send You an e-mail. :)

  • Could You please tell me who is the manufacturer of this moving facade? I'm trying to find automatic solution similar to this for weeks! :-\

  • I love how you take architecture and push it towards something sculptural, continuously changing. Brilliant.

  • Офигенно!!!

  • писдато!

  • yeah, awesome!

  • It'll make sick... Imagine you sit inside and walls/windows are dancing.

    But looks awesome!

  • The clip is a performance made for the opening of the building -

each collaborator can control "his elements" individually.

  • oh, this is really magically great;)

  • This is beautiful and practical a wonderful combination in the world of Architecture. Well done!!

    I am left inspired!!

  • Wow nice Job!

Simple and elegant, I like it!

  • I have a project of Five stars hotel under execution in

Saudi Arabia , and the estimatsed cost is about (48) million us dolla.......

    Please read the letter sent

  • Thats Prity Impressive as an overal show peace, but to work inside that place would drive you nuts. !!

I hope this show only goes into action after working hours. !!

Pritty simple to do too. All through the Power of PIC chips no doubt.

  • The clip is just a performance composed for the opening of the new showroom.

Each collaborator can control "his/her" elements individually.

  • Good Idea, giving the Individual his own control. Its a shame the entire Employment world doesnt take note of that small idea. The employment situation would be much better if everyone was allowed Control of his own section. :-)

  • How can I get specifications about the tech and modulation of this panels?

    Thanks

  • Dear "lucasscaravelli"!

If you write an E-Mail to our company and tell us exactly, which information you want, we can send some plans or something else answering your questions.

    Giselbrecht+Partners

  • where can I get some spec about the material and modulation of this technique. thanks

  • absolutely a beuty of arhitectural tehnik!

  • Beautiful

  • i want these in my house to :P

  • what's the music?

  • cool.....

  • Fantastic!

  • Geile Fassade

  • Cool :-) NIce Facade!

  • Cool :_) NIce stuff!

  • Der Clip ist eine Performance, die für die Eröffnung geschrieben wurde!

Jeder Mitarbeiter steuert seine Elemente individuell.

Zudem sind die Paneele ja perforiert, sodass man von innen gut durchsieht.

  • where is this?

  • The building is located in Bad Gleichenberg, a village in the southern part of Styria, Austria.

The client is a metal firm.

  • nice technology...full of automated panels that brings blinds for the facade..

  • gefällt mir sehr gut,

interessante Fassade funktional aber gleich zeitig auch ein wenig aritektonische show, high tech vom feinsten

    mfg

  • Einfach superb.

    Schoene Gruesse aus Peru.

  • interesting
