  • amazing... truly amazing.... god bless him

  • @doggyboyboy there are probably a lot of reasons but google indian caste system and do an hour or so of research. Saying "brahmins are not supposed to touch these people but we are human" is as powerful as it was saying "blacks are people too" and helping them escpae in 1700s america. Not only did he speak out, but he took a lot of action. -black guy

  • why does he win an award? There are millions of ppl that do what he does.

  • I wonder who recommended him for the honour.

  • Narayanan Krishnan shows us that compassion, kindness, and generosity are not only possible but necessary for all of us, rich and poor, to live a happy, full life.

  • I love this man, from the bottom of my heart. If a fraction of the world would be a quarter of the man he is, imagine what we could do? Together!

  • Bless your heart. :)

  • I don't understand why they waste Nobel Prize on people like Barack Obama who has done nothing for the world and humanity and miss this kind of selfless people!

  • DAMN!!...having that feeling that i lost along ago!!!! i really feel GOOD for being Human !!!and there are still GOOD persons in this world........ changed my day ............

  • I assume he has made a great deal of money in order to quit his job and not worry about how to feed his own family. It is free market capitalism that has created the opportunities for a man like this to be in this position and it is State intervention that has created this level of poverty. Few people are able to understand why that's true, but then I doubt any of those people have read Austrian Economics, or have heard of John Cowperthwaite. Corporatism comes through State intervention not FMC

  • @Avidcomp

You just had to bring politics into it didnt you?

You couldnt just, oh I don't know, enjoy the heartwarming story?

  • @matildauebel It's not my intention to cause offense, it is my intention to be at least one voice that drops the sentimental stuff (this quota is more than covered) and highlight my concern... why do so many people have to suffer? I am not here to show what a caring person I am by saying "nice things". I show I care by saying..if people refuse to see what causes poverty, they help to create it. I am troubled by poverty and this is how I express how I want to see it end. Know Hope.

  • Tamizha you are the man.

  • If there was a god, a guy like him wouldn't have to exist!!!!so.....for the believers....god creates the poverty...and then gives a cure??? Why not end the poverty first??

  • @eduardosapinho ??? God created guys like him to relief the poverty we've brought upon ourselves.

  • @MixedGoodies god does not exist my friend...he created everything..I don't think so...if he hid....he also created the poverty...because of believers like you the world is the way it is!!!

  • If Jesus would come back and start looking for a righteous christian he would choose him, a non christian living by the very principles of Christ himself. Thank God for people like him

  • If i become old and have a decent job.. i will start doing this

  • Awwwww.......this is just too touching.....made me cry. May this man be blessed!

  • my country needs heros like this man too...

  • This video made me cry...hats off to you Mr. Krishnan :)

  • this is actually the failure of our government and system, they are running so many programs for these peoples but nothing reach any where,so hats of you man,god bless you

  • this is actually the failure of our government and system, they are running so many programs for these peoples but nothing reach any where,so hats of you man,god bless you

  • May GOD Bless this soul. Let this video Inspire ALL OF US to do

something on a regular daily basis , some act of charity towars the

needy, sick, down troden masses. In India we can see such people at

every street corner. Do not give money give some eatables or clothing.

I am sure WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER BY MASS support.

  • hey man...we cant see god but when we saw you difinately there is GOD........send me you mail id .....

  • God bless you sir... give u the streangh to keep going with ur wanderful work....

  • It's because of ppl like Krishnan sir & Anuradha Koirala mam that this planet still exists. They c ppl differntly, as one of their own. As their child, their sisters & brothers, their father & mother. It's hard for most ppl to think in that way. cause the I, me, mine mentality is high up in our mindset. Thats how we've been brought up... My work, my family, my house. But Mr Krishnan & Anuradha mam they take the my as my ppl, my sisters, my brothers, my children, my parents. Thats the difference.

  • God Bless you Sir

  • @deepakjaisingh81 : I get what you're trying to say . . . I've seen many faking beggars who will beg for money coz it's EASIER . . but Mr. Krishnan is doing the right thing . . . you think people haven't told him the exact same thing you are ?? He's an intelligent man and he knows who exactly needs his help . . . I'm pretty sure he also must be setting up men, who are capable of working, with small jobs. It's only logical.

  • @jasonad2208 exactly! thanks for saying this. ppl have to realize, hes not giving them money, hes giving them FOOD and a bath and affection. no faking beggar is gonna want that.

  • It's great that CNN Heroes is recognizing such great people !! No one would've known about all they're doing if it wasn't for them to show it to us. We're so busy with our life that we don't bother appreciating such wonderful human beings !!

  • thnx for doing this n keeping alive humanity ..i wish n hope i could contact u :(

  • A real hero who dares to do something to all those around him. Lovely video.

  • why argue..why cant we accept it that this person is realy doing different and better then us....atleast apprciate him...thank you!!1...may god bless u buddy!!!:)

  • nice wrk sir....god bless u

  • sanki (crazy) hats off to u it need so much guts to give up all the luxury and help people like this god bless u

  • I Salute this man for what he does........we need more people like them in india.........instead of having people who discriminate others on the basis of caste.

  • This guy is unbelievable..How i wish i have the heart to do everything that he did for those unfortunate ones..He is one of a kind..Only few man in today's world can do such goodness and give respect to those people..a pure heart with good intentions in helping other people without counting what to have in return..THAT IS A TRUE HERO of today's world..I salute you Narayanan Krishnan..

  • @ Deepakjaisingh81...His mission is not only to FEED PPL... His mission is to GIVE THEM THE RESPECT that they should get at this stage of their life... Its a part of the lessons WE were taught early in our life... To respect the old ppl n help them as much as v can because they gave us all v know now. I hope u continue ur helping to the society, but at the same time not criticize who r helpin the society. If u dun like it,plz dun comment on it! Just a humble request...

  • @Deepakjaisingh81... With all due respect... If u luk at the people hez helping, try n look at the guy's hands... Its almost as thick as a bone. And bout helping them to get in the right direction n "If you ever have children in your family till when do you feed them, bathe them etc?" THEY ARE NOT CHILD. THOSE ARE OLD ppl... Sum of them r maybe 65+! At this age those ppl should hv had a time to rest n not start working again to survive. N even if they were to... They dun beg anyone to help them..

  • I want to do something like that too

  • to all the heartless & ignorant comments ...you DO REALIZE there are actually people in the world who suffer severe mental illness & do not have within themselves to rightly reason & make decisons for themselves. people who have been shunned by their families b/c they don't know how to, or even CARE to care for or look after them.

so they take to the streets, uncared for & forgotten.

  • 1.charity begins @ home....

2.certainly.....our superstars are helllll lotta d/f frm ur superstars.....

3.vtever d critics say......dis is thousand or lakhs times bettr dan vt unscrupulous and fake ppl are doing...

    4. more imp is y not remove poverty rather dan feeding impoverished ???

    5.as aristotle said........MAN IS A POLITICAL ANIMAL BY NATURE :) :)

  • These acts should be the hand of hope, to make them realize that the life has not given up on them and/or the other way!

His acts are the same, I believe. Even if they are not, he will eventually get to know that and will take necessary measures to do the rite thing.

People in despair and dire straits, needs a realization and necessary help to live by themselves, but not to live depending on others!!

  • I really want to do something like he did. He is truly inspiring, especially in India, where poverty is high and a gargantuan size of population.

  • he's a real hero,,,,,,,,,

  • Your acts are worth more than any appreciation but I think this may also have a negative impact on those people's lives. By feeding them daily for free, this will encourage them not to work for a living. To serve them intially if fine, but after a while they need to know how to earn a living no matter how small it is and be independent in life instead of depending on free food.

  • @deepakjaisingh81 what a poor comment. Have you ever thought of the possibility that these people are not able to feed themselves?

  • @naninasailing I dont think you get my message. Where in the video do you see that they cant feed themselves? Even if they cant, it is ok to do it till then can. A child is never a child, they grow with time and so does a human being.

  • @deepakjaisingh81 If it was that easy they wouldn't need his help in the first place. I can't imagine anyone would eat their own faeces because they can't be bothered to get a job. I see your name but have you ever been to India? I have, many times, and I have never seen such hard working, resourceful people in my life. If people are relying on this man, it certainly isn't because they are lazy or expectant of food. Your comment is ill thought out, disrespectful and frankly ignorant.

  • @spacecatmoonbeam Yes I am from India and I am a proud Indian that has been around the world. If I were to help these people I would definitely help them get back on the right path of life. Will serve them till they can do it on their own and make them independent in life. If you ever have children in your family till when do you feed them, bathe them etc? Get my message? Leading a person to the right direction and carrying a person in the right direction are 2 different things.

  • @deepakjaisingh81 Ok, so you are from India..you say "if I were to help these people" implying that you don't. So instead of writing opinions on here why don't you go and do something in your own way if you think this man isn't doing it properly. I have opinions on a lot of things but I also do volunteer work a couple of days a week. To use your analogy of the child...if the child were mentally or physically disabled would you stop looking after it just because it officially became an adult??

  • @spacecatmoonbeam Exactly, now you get my point. None of these people are disabled or physically challenged. If they were, then its a different case. Look at the video again and some of the people seem like lazy drunkards. I am an Indian living in the US and helping people from here. There are many organizations in India that need help physically and financially. I help them financially. Any kind of help is a help. Though I am away from my country, but I have not forgotten my values.

  • @deepakjaisingh81 u dirty bastard..

  • @deepakjaisingh81 Only few people experience or want self esteem. You get my point?

  • I wish I was doing this instead of making my very rich boss richer. What a wonderful and full life this man has.

  • Oh man that is inspiring. I wish the whole world could think this way.

  • People like this gives me hope for humanity.

  • Absolutely AMAZING!!! This guy is my new idol!!!
