@54markl no we didnt evolve from them. we werent once them. both us and them evolved from a same ape. that ape's populations got split or something and some evolved into humans and the other evolved into chimps and bonobos.
The last bit there, the bonobo was thinking, "Wow, these people are really easy to startle. I wonder why they get all that cage space and wear funny colours with an IQ like that."
after a while I realize how obsessed people are with taking pictures and recording stuff... why cant people just stand still and fully enjoy something in the moment? The moment undisturbed is worth more than the effort put into capturing the moment.
Not to be too pedantic about it, but apes won't be endangered for quite some time, as there are currently over 6 billion of them on the planet. Hopefully we'll have the *non-human* ones around for a while though. :)
I really wish to see them evolve into biengs as intelligent as us, and find their own planet and take revenge on the pochers of the human race who hunted their ancestors!. Save the whales aswell baby, yeah!!.
Incredible creatures. I can't help but feel sad, though, as to their wild cousin's futures. I can only hope that all of the children seen in these videos learn the true meaning of kindness and conservation. These animals are NOT purely for entertainment purposes.
..i though all the apes were gonna meet each other

Our relatives. Only 2% chromosomes separate us. We should do better by them. We were them once.

Is that true that there are 6 billion of them--i hope so. I did hear that there are only 720 or so lowland mtn gorillas. Do you know if that is true?
