Thanks for posting this.I was a 29 Palm Marine with Headquarters Battalion Bravo Company and haven't been on that base since my EAS on August 1st 2003.This brings back old memories.I remember meeting Arnold schwarzenegger at the base theater for the opening of Terminator 3.My name was Corporal Kyle Walker.

@TiminPhoenix : Response a yr later, ... but can't resist : I was there in 1982 (Field Radio Operator School). 29 Palms must've been nearly 100% re done over since then, 'cause the only thing I seem to recognize are the squad bays 1/2 way up the hill. Ronald Regan signed "the white letter" at (or approx) the time I was there. That letter was the beginning of USMC piss tests 4 drugs. I recall seeing a Marine drop on the ground from a run. Then other Marines threw sand @ him & kicked him.

Pretty girl, named Stephanie Peterson.  One of my better memories of the place. But I found it to be heaven compared to Jacksonville or Camp Schwab over in Okie.

@PUTMEONTHEREDLIST You cannot have any personal firearms on base and there is no need for optics to be sold to you, you are issued them.
